I thought contrast was excellent. I also see it as possibly slightly overpriced at 12 quid. Hard to call as it was free on ps+

I tried the instant-on feature again.
Turned off last night. Turned on this morning - kinect light not active and it's telling me to plug it in. Unplug and replug kinect. Nothing. Turn console of and on. Nothing.
Turn console back to power save off and reboot. Kinect powers up fine.
Shoddy. Really shoddy.

Never had any issues with mine that were not attributed to being on the beta programme.

I think I'm cursed. Had so many unsolved niggles with the 360 after going on the beta rollout that I vowed never again (eventually "solved" by moving my profile off the HDD to an official xbox360 usb stick because normal usb sticks didn't work and having it on the HDD wouldn't let it sign in). They are still finding ways to get me though.

In the end it happens, how widespread it is who knows, same with Kinect issues and general console issues as well. Cant see any masses of issue currently though .. Same with the PS4 so far, apart from maybe the analogue pads falling apart, but again not sure how bad that is.
The One is designed to be on all the time, so I don't think we will get RROD issues again, with mandatory installs I dont think the drives will be going any time soon either, which is what happened to my first 360. Its always something you dont expect to break that always end up doing so,

Getting rather hacked off with the Xbox now. Can't watch Netflix. Can't stay connected to Titanfall or BF4 for more than a couple of mins.
And then today:
Installed the 600MB Titanfall update, had half a game of "marked for death" (great fun!!) and then got kicked out due to connection problems.
Tried to rejoin, but the level loading screen never went away (waited 4 minutes). Close the app and restarted it - same problem. It refuses to load any levels.
Rebooted xbox. Same.
So I've uninstalled and am reinstallingLast edited by charlesr; 27-06-2014, 10:54.

Take it WiFi is fine on other devices though Charles?
My PS4 is only a couple of foot from my router and sticking a good old fashioned ethernet lead in has eleminated a few online woes I was having.
Really had nothing since trouble since getting our "new and improved" Virgin Super Hub about four months back with the internet connection in general.
You do seem somewhat jinxed with your machine of late.

^ Re. the online wifi problems, DavidH, you don't have the official Sony PS4 wireless headset by any chance, do you? I've got it for the PS3 and the wavelength it operates on cancels out/disconnects my Virgin wifi every time. I'd be interested to know if that is the case on the PS4 too, before I get a headset sorted.
