No one would buy it anyway. It's not like it makes much profit.

surprised there's no talk on here about the Xbox originals tv stuff being shut down, real shame as there where some quite interesting looking stuff on it, only two shows seem to have survived

Jordan and members of the XES team remain committed to new, original programming already in production like the upcoming documentary series 'Signal to Noise' whose first instalment takes on the rise and fall of gaming icon Atari and of course, the upcoming game franchise series 'Halo: Nightfall,' and the 'Halo' Television series which will continue as planned with 343 Industries.
cant believe they didnt even give it a chance to do anything before canning it

That just seems the Microsoft way at the moment ... Come up with an idea .. Try it, then drop it...

It all started about 5 years ago when Microsoft dropped 1 vs 100 which I actually thought was an excellent idea, and although there were some technical issues (not surprisingly) it worked pretty well.

The came along Kinect which as we all know has been a monumental waste of time and money as in effect its being used as a microphone now and nothing more.

Then they start talking making TV shows which actually could work really well if it were ited into the games as well .. and they are basically dropping that too. It cant be because of money they earn / have enough of it.

And with getting rid of 18,000 employees they will be even better off, not that the employee's will be of course!

                  Preview of August update:

Some more good stuff there, although not to want to sound like a broken record, but a lot of it should be have been there from the start. Like for example being able to turn off notifications when you are watching a video, which is super annoying currently.

Still they are listening and applying so thats the main thing!

Also 3D Blu Ray support. Wonder how long it will take for Sony to add that one?
                    Probably about a week now.

The race is on for a media browser. Whoever gets that first will probably be the saviours of gaming. Or not.

As FF says, hopefully this will spur Sony into action regarding PS4'S ridiculous lack of 3D BR playback.

Or even the ability to use the bloody video app without being signed in to Live, so if Live is down I can still stream some stuff via DLNA from the PC. And if they could make Netflix available without Live too that would be great. I mean seriously..... there's a working network connection so it should just work and not depend on Live status.

A media browser would be nice though - shared folder access - must be about as difficult as pissing in your pants.

I do it with a generic DLNA phone app, it sends to command from my NAS for the Xbox to play it.

Yeah, I did that for a bit, but since I have a normal PC it's so much faster to just walk over to the PC, find the file and press PlayTo. But you can't use it unless Live is up and running (which it wasn't last night at 11pm)
