There is this huge part of me that wants NFS, but as I'm getting a free Forza I can't justify owning 2 racing games at the start, especially not with the heap of other games.

Powerstar Golf has asynchronous multiplayer, so you can play a round against ghosts of friends or other players.

That's cool about Powerstar then, might pick it up as it's only $20.

Yeah definitely no point in owning two racers with The Crew coming next year too. Thinking Forza might still be the way to go as more people will probably have it and 16 player racers should be fun. I would probably have got Need For Speed but it seems as though there is no matchmaking so to speak you only ever get into racers by happenstance in the main world which sounds a bit strange.

Hope there are matchmaking lobbies , open world is cool but sometimes you just want to get into the action on your desired game type.

I'm sure I heard it'd populate based on your friends list too. I think I'll be renting this on PS4, as my mate on there seems really into getting it and it's the only driving game on that system at the moment.

Sets me up for DR3, Powerstar, Crimson Dragon, KI (MS giving me for free), NBA and CoD.

Also picking up BF4, NFS, AC4 and Forza in the pack. Gonna be expensive.

As a side note I wasn't going to pickup DR3, Powerstar, Crimson Dragon and NFS but reviews and videos have talked me into it. AC4 I wanted but was going to leave but couldn't say no to the Tesco Ltd ed bargain.

That NBA game is getting really good reviews just about everywhere for both Xbox One and PS4. Its just a shame i dont understand basketball or obviously dont know any players but it does look fantastic.

Yeah, i'm a big basketball fan so its great news for me. Looks amazing and 60FPS Can't go wrong.

Maybe its time you all got in on the action!! I only ever have 1 friend on my list playing NBA games!!

I have just watched that IGN video review and Jesus Christ it looks just amazing. Like i say i dont follow baseball but im not kidding when i say its the most lifelike game i have yet seen. When the players are running down the court you really have to look hard to tell if its real or not. I think its the backgrounds that make it seem so real. I may well have to look into this, though it will upset the Mrs because it will be yet another sport i have gotten into

I remember back in the day when Channel 4 used to show NBA games, used to enjoy it. I thought one of the Sky Sports channels show live NBA games or maybe it was BT Sport/ESPN. Just what i need, another sport to take up some more of my time

There's a surprisingly small amount of info on Live14, the bits I could find weren't too positive though, sounds like a quick and cheap current gen port. The little footage there is leaves 2K14 looking better. I don't bother with basketball at all but my eye has been drawn to it for some flash and, compared to my usual games, something different

Don't worry. I'm sure if the 2k games keep outselling EAsports games then EA will buy exclusive rights to NBA making 2k sport's better efforts redundant, just like they have with Fifa/PES :/

AC4 I wanted but was going to leave but couldn't say no to the Tesco Ltd ed bargain.

I took a gamble on the AC4 ltd edition (PS4 version though)
Didn't want open a Tesco account so ordered a ?59 copy on Amazon and waited.
Its showing my order as ?48 and its out of stock now! Viva la Price Match!

After Fight Night Round 3 last gen I expected EA to come out strong with the sports series but they seem to have only bothered with Fifa. If my XBO comes in under budget I'll prob give 2K14 a punt
