Ah nice to see that Microsoft's parity clause means bugger all, if your games good enough then we will take it.

        Comment

Of course they will, especially on the early ones like outlast that existed before the parity clause did.

The parity clause didn't stop the ps4 version being held back though which is what has happened elsewhere, its not a bad thing that they have loosened it up, i think its a good thing that they are being a bit more open.

GamesRadar+ takes you closer to the games, movies and TV you love.

Everyone should play Contrast when it comes out. Great game with a really good story.

Yeah, I like the look of that. Is it challenging at all?

Contrast - challenging? not really, bar a few iffy control moments here and there. Enjoyable game I thought.

Outlast played in a dark room with the headphone up loud is a must.

Not particularly. Nice mechanics (if a bit ropey at times). Some of the puzzles require a bit of thought though. The story is a bit deeper and darker than i was expecting. Voice acting is very good and there's some imaginative use of the shadow mechanics. It really is worthy of your time IMO.

Outlast is absolutely terrifying even when played in a bright room. At night? With headphones on? Alone? Holy ****!

Japan launch line up and prices etc. About two thirds the price of a launch UK unit when you factor in the two games.

Xbox One consoles will be available in three bundles at launch. A Day One version of the console will come packaged with Titanfall and Kinect Sports plus a Kinect sensor. Priced at 49,980 yen (about ?287), it saves around ?70 on buying everything separately. Cheaper bundles include the console just with Kinect, or an even cheaper version for those who don't want the sensor included.

Here's my prediction, may be completely wrong, I reckon Contrast will be July's Games with Gold for Xbox One.
                        Just putting it out there.

It launched as a free title on PS+ for PS4 if people didn't already know so wouldn't surprise me - and could be why release details and pirce are vague.

Is there a way of making updates continue downloading after I turn it off, without using instant-on? On the 360 it would do the dl and then turn off I think. Damn 3.1GB Forza 5 update That will still be going in the morning. No chance of a quick game before bed

Thanks. I've just pre-orded the Japanese one from Amazon. Pre-orders started today so I'm going for the version without Kinect or any games. I'll just pick up a load of games from Amazon US for a fraction of the price they are charging for Japanese games. Forza 5 when released in Japan - 40 pounds. Forza 5 now in the US - 23 pounds and it will be cheaper by September when the Xbox One is released here. Thank God for region free

Yeah it's region free but also incredibly easier to switch regions and buy games & content from other places. You don't have to change anything with your actual profile and you can basically switch the consoles region in 2-3 mins and buy from another locale, provided you have a payment method setup for it. So no need for multiple gamer tags.

I just leave my console set to US now, even though my gamertag is Australia. I buy gift cards from Amazon to redeem in US dollars straight onto my US account immediately and purchase away. Games are around $60us there digitally where they're $99au ($97us). You can see why I've been buying all major titles digitally from the US!
