It's D/L-only. I think it was free on PS+ over here a while back. I describe it as a Boss Rush title myself. It is however, INCREDIBLY difficult, in a Soul's kind of way. You have to learn each enemy thoroughly before you can even have any chance in taking them down. The odds are stacked heavily against you. There is an elaborate combo and scoring system to get your head around too.
The risk/reward system is simply fantastic. You can tackle the stages in any order you choose, and you get the enemy's weapon upon defeating them. However, the difficulty increases each time you down a foe, so you really have to plan out how you are going to go about beating the game, and what weapons you are going to get first etc.
It's certainly not for everyone, but everyone should try it.Kept you waiting, huh?

I keep meaning to try the PS3 version of Malicious as it's sat on my console for months now. If I like it I'll definitely be getting the Vita version. Although it seems every game on the console ends up being on PS+...

Malicious Rebirth looks wonderful - thanks for the heads up J0e. I must say, as a new Vita owner, I'm amazed how many fantastic titles the machine seems to have, yet I had heard of so few until I bought the system and started digging through the library. A few months ago I was in the 'Vita has no games' gang yet I am glad to say this is one of the very rare cases of where I have been completely wrong!
In order to stay on topic I will also throw Muramasa into the mix as one of my GOTG that few appear to have played. Even on the Wii the visuals were drop dead gorgeous so the prospect of playing it again on the delicious Vita screen is quite an exciting prospect.

I suspect a few people on the forum did actually play this, but I imagine it passed quite a few people by as well. Personally for me it was one of my favourite games of the last generation (can we call it last now). It had a great 'retro' feel about it, but was all polished with lovely graphics, and although trying to make 'whacky' machines wasn't quite as good as it could have been, it was different to pretty much anything else at the time.
I can see why some didn't 'get it' or that some thought it was fairly generic, but I completely loved it from start to finish. I just prey they do a sequel at some point (which I am sure they wont)

Also I noticed the other day nobody in my XBL contacts has played Costume Quest, Stacking or The Cave which feels like a shame...

The best game no one played was James Bond: Bloodstone, because the reviews said it was crap even though it was brilliant and the best James Bond game we will probably ever get to play.....
.....but yeah, no one did play it, and that was a shame.
Also, Singularity.... it was a lot like Half Life 2, but that doesn't make it bad, in fact it makes it quite the opposite, again, not the best reviews for some reason, its too bad neither of these games were made by Bungie or Epic or Rockstar, they might have got good reviews then.Last edited by rmoxon; 14-12-2013, 02:09.
