LOL, that's probably true if you catch some bargain flight! I wonder how much One will cost in Norway? Probably ?500 or something.

?370 at gamestop, then! I hope they shift a fair few of these to get Sony a bit spooked and edge them towards their own price drop...hehe

        Sony price drop?

It's ?349, Sony went for the jugular. So I gather they won't be "dropping" prices until late 2015, why bother?
Bundles though, they already have infamous bundle due and they will continue to bundle, they always do.

That is a great deal, and a bigger kick in the balls to early buyers sadly.

Sony have dropped prices in the past, you know? I was merely speculating on what might happen if the One started catching up on the basis of this bundle and how far Sony would be willing to turn the screw. As for Sony-exclusive Infamous (and bundle), it hasn't generated the same near-hysterical hype as the new franchise from one of the most well-known FPS devs in the business, and rightly so: its just the 3rd iteration of a quite good superhero franchise.

Yeah, but not a big enough drop to offer the early adopters a free game. Like when the original xbox came out at ?299 and dropped to ?199 straight after. I remember that, got two free games out of a choice of 6 or so.

Like Nintendo did with the 3DS and the Ambassador program too.

Bet this is why MS went with ?399. The Gamestop ?369 deal though is a saving of around ?100 compared to prices last week when you factor in Titanfall.

Give everyone a free copy of LocoCycle, that will shut them up quick enough.
I think anyone who bought a console in Feb should be compensated, before that maybe not.

The gamestop price has been changed guess is was a pricing error. I'm not really fussed about the price drop as a person that bought it at launch I expected to be buying at a premium. I feel like I got good value for money as I use the system most days.

I wouldn't say no to a freebie for being a early adopter it would be nice but its not something i'm expecting or think I'm entitled too just because they have dropped the price and included a digital copy of a game.

Suppose not, but would it put you off buying on day one next time around? guess not knowing how impatient 95% of gamers are.

It's ?30. People will blow that on a round of drinks in a heartbeat and yet deliberate for ages about whether to buy at launch.

It's just the way of commerce - things go down in price as they get older. Buy a new model car: 6 months later new version is out at a cheaper price and all the niggles with the original model fixed. Buy a TV: 3 days later there's a new feature out that is now default for all TVs at the same price and you've missed out.

With Gamestop's pricing the Bone is now actually cheaper than the PS4, if you factor in the game. The Titanfall bundle is ?370, while the PS4 Infamous bundle is ?390 on Amazon.

Console waaaaaaars! As consumers we can only win. I don't think these new consoles are bad value at all, when you consider PS1 and Saturn launched at ?299 and ?399 respectively in the mid 90s. Accounting for inflation that's far more.

Nah. If you buy on day 1 you accept that you are buying at the highest price the console will ever be at, when the software range is at its most limited. Everyone should know that going into it (and if they don't they're very silly). But if you accept that and it makes you happy to get it then, it's 100% worth it

Couldn't agree more. Never understood this, they've dropped the price so I should be compensated attitude, in games. Try that on new car dealer and they will laugh in your face and that could be potentially thousands, not ?50 odd.

You pay your money you makes your choice. It's almost as if companies aren't allowed to make money on products they sell these days.

Even at full launch price both consoles are still good value when you factor in the amount if use they get over their ownership.

Very true Charles (spunked more on that going out last night by quite a bit!). The better way is to look at what you will get from the console over its useful life. Currently I don't think I would make use of either but if I were to choose to not make use of one it would be the PS4
