And I the same happened with the last gen Look nothing good out on the 360 or PS3 and its all just shinny high def graphics think I'll stick with my GameCube Ect,Ect .

Just with with the 360 and PS3 (and well every gen) they'll be plenty of great games on the XBox 1 and PS4 , to go along to the already decent ones out now

Of course there will be, you bring this point up every time yet no one's disputing that at all.

Just, give it a couple of years (and potentially a couple of price drops).

Therefore, if there's a game they want on older hardware, which they already own, obviously they would (logically) buy that game.

Once PS4 gets Valkyria Chronicles 4 it's at the top of my list. I bought a PS3 for the original.
Correct, I've bought my consoles at or near to launch because of a specific game I wanted.

At the moment there isn't anything jumping at me, if anything the U looks most interesting. I'm sure in a year or so I'll make a purchase but this generation will be the longest ever I've waited before buying.

It's comforting that there are some things that you can rely on, like the sun coming up every morning and TA delivering his defence speech of the next-gen for the infidels in every single thread on Bordersdown.net.

Said the troll who tries to trash Nintendo/Wii U in every thread (like this very one) while blindingly ignoring the short-comings of the PS4 and (especially) the Xbox One and who, when put on the spot comes up with mind-numbingly brilliant answers like:

Have I occidentally stumbled into a gamefaqs thread?

Anyway, Xilia 2 and eventually Persona 5 will come out, so my ps3 is hooked up alongside my ps4 at the moment.

I'm not I think you'll find . Just pointing out that the XBox and PS4 shortcomings are issues that every console suffers from, in their 1st years : that's a lack of games or AAA games even for classic systems like the PS, MD, PS2, 360, Cube and so on . Hell with machines like the Cube it was barren for months and we couldn't wait for a remake of RE to game to come out for it to give us something to play , for systems like the DC it was even worse , same for the XBox after a good launch

Said the troll who tries to trash Nintendo/Wii U in every thread
A person who own the systems and gives his views compared to one that doesn't own the systems and yet got enough to say about them , who's the real troll ? . That's why I bet you hate the next gen so much... because you know Nintendo have screwed it up while XBox 1 and PS4 will go on to be the popular mainstream consoles with the most games and support and just like any loyal die hard fan will do, they'll hit out at their rivals while still blindly defend their team .

Thank god my fanboy days died with the original XBox. Now I just enjoy the systems be that from MS or SONY

You're right, the Xbox One and PS4 will go on to be the X-Factor of gaming.

No one remembers the winner of the first X-Factor despite your auntie, at the time, proclaiming them to be the best singer that's ever lived. What are they doing now, exactly? It's the same as why people don't look back on Call of Duty 1 or FIFA 2002 with rose-tinted specs... Mainstream stuff is hardly ground-breaking, interesting, or innovative. Totally disposable - and when it isn't marketed properly and doesn't sell eight-million copies everyone involved with the production end up sulking down the job center wondering how on Earth they got there.

What games do Sony and Microsoft actually make themselves? I'm not talking about those they pay (or outright buy) to make games for them (Bungie, 343, Naughty Dog), I'm talking about proper in-house people who design software around the hardware.

I thought I would and I have purchased FFX/X-2 for PS3 but its sat sealed as I haven't touched my 360 or PS3 (for games) since XBO and PS4 release. No doubt ill get round to it at some point but maybe on vita instead. Doubt ill be buying any more games for them though.

You don't get much more in house than naughty dog, they set the bar for performance that other companies have to aspire too. They've been first party since the Psone launch.

People knock Sonys in house but when you actually look at the games they create there pretty dam good.

Teams like media molecule got laughed out the office by MS when pitching the idea for little big plannet, Sony took them on and look what happened, that then spawned tearaway which is just utterly brilliant and just as good as anything nintendo have released in recent memory. I'd say there doing a pretty dam good job.

People seem to have a very selective memory with ninty for some reason, have we all forgotten the nes and snes days where games were deliberately never released and when they were cost ?60-?70 a pop? Had some great games yes, but were still getting great games on non Nintendo hardware, so I'd say the competition is good.

I'm with fishbowl on this. It doesn't matter how they're organised, Sony have excellent Dev teams, more than a match for what Nintendo have.

Still, I wasn't including them because they existed before Sony, and could well exist after Sony should they be sold off at any point. Look at the old relationship between Bungie and MS.

Nintendo can never part ways with the (systematically numbered) Nintendo EAD groups, that was my grounds for comparison. I'm only being pedantic anyway, I like pointing out that Microsoft and Sony don't make games - they simply buy or hire people that do.

It's a really silly distinction, isn't it? I'm not sure that it means anything at all.
