Last time I fired it up (about four weeks ago I guess), still couldn't even get an online easily game on the One, can't really be arsed to bother trying again.

All i've read about the new gen of consoles is how they are designed very close to PC, architecture wise...and yet here we are.

Interestingly, there's been a few image comparisons between the PC and PS3 version and PC and PS4 version on reddit and the PC version in still images looks much better thanks to the better resolution and sharper image. If you have the rig to run it and don't mind the lack of particles it's pretty much the spot on edition.
Of course, that undoes itself by TN leaving out content and still trying to sell it as though it's a like-for-like edition. They've really gone out of their way with Last Round to destroy whatever reputation DOA5 had managed to revive after the series long break.
It's presumably likely that this will be the only DOA on the system anyway. After their warning to PC owners, the first mod was to make one character topless and the second has been a modification to the files which unlocks all ?90's worth of costume dlc for free.

Having no luck with this, some decent mods starting to appear but they all use uMod as a method of altering textures and it's such a rubbish program. Got SweetFX running fine, the game is looking pretty good now for what it is. UMod will transfer the textures in but they won't save, as soon as you start up the game again the mods are gone and the next time you restart uMod they're listed but won't activate. Hopefully they'll sort out a better method of altering the files as otherwise it's too much of a faff

Had a quick go on this yesterday, glad to see that the retail version of DOA5 Ultimate on Xbox 360 automatically upgrades to Last Round after you download an additional 1GB in patches, that's assuming you have already downloaded all the DLC for Ultimate.
Graphically the PS4 and One version don't look that much better and I suspect it's down to it being a current gen port. That said I think the patch does slightly improve the game from the base version of Ultimate, you also get a number of new unlockable costumes for the base game.
Certainly on the 360 online players are very low not quite dead but far from full.

Yup, the Last Round release is very much just a way of Ninja getting it out on more platforms to pimp their ott DLC offerings.
I managed to remove SweetFX from the PC version and the mods now work. They don't autoimport each time but I've got it down to a single drag movement to get them running each time.
Shenmue Last Round a go go
