That's some games there, but nothing really inspiring or exciting... (imo of course!)

All exclusive and not on anything else. Honestly, not one of those games tickles your fancy? I think people need to be a bit realistic in that the days of revolutionary content like ocarina and Mario 64 are done.

Mario 3d world, Bayonetta 2, and mario kart are the only three that i would call must have games, the critics also seem to share this view too. Wind Waker hd, and monster hunter are good but like many Nintendo fans I've played them already so I'm leaving them out.

That's all well and good to a degree though- a large majority of them were released years(s) ago- and what if you've played them/done with them- what's next between now and whenever Zelda/Xenoblade appears?

Nail on head - same old titles get thrown up every-time in defense. Its rather amusing now, watching this dead duck being defended.

Well in fairness I am nearly 30 lol!

Joking aside it's just that when you boil it down its really just another platformer of which the console does have a fair few already...

I'm not looking forward to Wooly World either, I must admit, but Splatoon? Xenoblade? Starfox? Zelda?

I'm in my 30's too. But I can honestly say I'll never stop championing the likes of mario, Yoshie and tearaway on the vita. The day when only cod halo and destiny is available on the shelf I'll just stop playing the new gens.

I get that some wouldn't look forward to it, but when we stop buying them diversity will simply die.

Regarding Splatoon Xenoblade Starfox and Zelda, it will certainly be nice to expect to be able to buy those games at a normal price and for everyone to receive the full, everything works, includes all maps, costumes and characters edition.

Don't forget the order 1866. But don't worry, the sequal will diversify by adding vampires, and possibly some more poorly written story and grey, deff more grey :/

My Wii U went once I was done with Bayonetta 2. Splatoon looks fun, but not enough to justify keeping that machine around.

My PS4 was a pretty stupid purchase considering I've played it less than 10 hours in 3 months, but I did kind of purchase it just to play MGSV properly.

Still play retro stuff the most, modern gaming just isn't good.

The Dreamcast's problem was that it wasn't the PS2; and was riding on the back of Sega's, by then, utterly self-fisted reputation. It had loads of third-party support.

The DC didn't have loads of 3rd party support it didn't have the likes of EA backing it no Codemasters and what 3rd party support it did have were for the most part nothing more than PS ports and not the major titles the 3rd parties were making (again very much like the Wii U)
I could list a number of great games for the 3DO, the Mega CD and even the Vita right now , but the trouble is the ammount of games coming out and the 3rd party support . That's the Wii U issues is the lack of games and 3rd party support, never mind that tech and internet wise its about 8 years too late .

Don't be ridiculous, there is plenty of innovation out there, the indy scene is bursting with inovation with some fantastic stuff coming out across all the platfoms with pc being at the forefront with games like gone home and papers please, those two games alone have more innovation than most of Nintendo's very safe and by the numbers output.

And to say we have only had by the numbers shooters and racers when games like Titanfall and Destiny and Project Cars are clearly not following the traditional path of most shooters and racers is a real blinkered thing to say, yeah they may not have got it 100% right but at least there having a go.
