I happen to think the 80's was the best for films, Television (more so for kids TV) music and Arcade gaming - but that was just the era I gew up in . There's some game genere's that have really suffered like traditional shooters and Gun games - in those cases the 80's and 90's really were king

The way my 17 year old work colleague spoke about playing Spyro: Year of the Dragon with his brother one Christmas you could tell it was not just the game he was reflecting on, also the memories attached to it.

Its funny to see people moan about nothing new . When the Mega Drive and Snes played host to a almost endless list of Platform games /Film based Platform games, shooters and Sports games and RPG's
