Genuinely surprised at the price of the discless model. But nothing there to tempt me so far.

Slightly annoying it was 40 mins to flash up 3 seconds of price and schedule.

Spiderman and Demon Souls looked sharp but the rest we've already seen in the last event so why show it all again?

Could care less about Final Fantasy or Hogwarts Legends but I'm sure I'm not in that demographic anyway.

Bit surprised UK is in the second tier for release but the price is pretty much what everyone expected.

I wonder if it's a shipment thing. Like the UK is an EU country so we might have been grouped in automatically with others whilst several countries are shunted up as the 12 November date is incredibly aggressively pitched against Xbox's 10 November

It's all looking great to be honest, I'm really excited about it. God of War being announced as a 2021 game really surprised me at the end. Sony are looking to be massively aggressive with the pace of first party software, which is great.

PlayStation Collection is an interesting one - great to get all those PS4 games gratis on the new machine from day one, but where does that sit alongside the existing Instant Games Collection and PSNow...? Is there an implication of them building their own proper Game Pass type platform? I know PSNow is virtually the same thing, but it doesn't feel like it gets nearly as much emphasis or exciting new software on it as GP.

One thing that surprised me is the gulf between the Digital and the Disc prices - £90. That's a fair wedge. They're clearly banking on much improved lifetime earnings from Digital owners, since there's no way stripping an optical drive out is saving them £90. At £360, I reckon it piles the pressure on the Series S.

Gutted that Demon's Souls isn't a launch game, but hey ho - hopefully it won't be too long!

Yeah maybe... I'm surprised to see Australia and New Zealand in the top tier though because honestly both markets are pretty small in comparison to the UK.

The price is good, the DE version particularly given the tech (and Sony is going to be taking a good hit on that one), but it does seem that the launch titles are thin on the ground too.

I'm definitely holding off on both next gen consoles until the new year.
