DPD driver didn't even try to deliver it to me and I got the "sorry we missed you" notification. Luckily, I got to pick it up not long after so I have it and even had a quick go!
First impressions are great, but it feels a bit uncomfortable on the forehead for me as there's no up and down adjustment for the visor part. You have to adjust where it rests on your forehead. For me it's pretty low, so I get pressure on the nose, or I can alleviate that by tightening the headset at the back, but that's trading one annoyance for another
I think my hands are too big for the controllers too, the ring thing that surrounds them makes them feel like they want to twist away from how I would naturally hold it.
Gran Turismo doesn't use the PSVR2 controllers, it still uses the DualSense, which confused me at first. But it's a good thing! You get to still have a dpad so the menus won't be a pain and overall it's super chill just being able to look around and not have to faff about with your arms. Had to play around with audio settings a bit as during non VR mode I had all the tire squeals and engine noises turned down a bit so it didn't annoy, but in VR you might want that stuff back to normal levels for the immersion. Seeing other drivers in the rear view mirror is scary, and I became hyper aware of track elevation and slopes in VR compared to normal. I don't even notice slopes in normal really, but in VR it's surprising how drastic some of the corners and drops are.
Had to update RE7 and also download the VR DLC seperately (free) which was about 700mb IIRC, before it let me play. Bunch of pop ups at the beggining that tell you that VR mode is a completely seperate mode from normal mode, so it has seperate save files and trophies etc. If you planned on continuing a run, or using unlocks from previous non VR playthroughs, you can't. The level of interaction in just the tutorial alone is super cool! Every weapon reload is different. You gotta eject clips, insert new ones, cock your pistol, aim and fire. You can *chick chick* your shotgun between blasts, pull your sniper rifle bolts etc.
I read before that people were cutting off the controller straps as they thought they couldn't remove them. It does appear that way at first but give the connector a little extra twist to release the lock and they pop off just fine. FFS.
