Codemasters have done the fusion dance with EA, though. Suspect the following year will have full support as a selling-point.

PSVR2: Next-Gen Boogaloo

Reviews have started to come out for Firewall and given the lack of push behind it, as well as it being in effect the second big first party title, it's been interesting to see feedback. By the sounds the base gameplay remains solid with some of the PSVR2's features made use of but it sounds like Sony has put hardly any money into it and largely knocked out a remaster of the first game with only bareboned content making the cut.

I've seen a lot of people come out and say how disappointing Firewall is, the lack of interaction with the enviroment and lack of content is its issue, gun play and teamplay is suposed to be spot on again so it has the foundations of something at least if they can build on it then maybe it will come good, Switchback was panned at launch but the devs have gone back and tweeked it and fixed a lot of the criticism to make it a game worth playing now.
One game that is worth a look is Red matter 2, made by a small two man team its one of the nicest looking games on PSVR it makes full use of the PSVR2 as well trailer below.
I picked up a few other new games to play recently including Tenticular as it was on sale, its lovely if a bit been their done that if you have ever played one of these VR Physics games, the lovely world and humor is top notch though which keeps you playing. I also picked up synth riders which is fun but not as good as beat sabre, makes a nice change though and gives you a bit of a workout while also scratching that music/rhythm game itch.
Kids are obsessed with What the Bat and Job simulator and wont play anything new.Last edited by Lebowski; 30-08-2023, 14:22.

Couple of things about this.
Firstly, it's really clear some of those developers are hedging their bets, going with a visual style for the games that, even if they're PSVR2-exclusive now, they can optimise later to go onto the Quest platform. No way do most of those get the best of being on the PS5.
Secondly, I'm still flabbergasted that Sony haven't provided a way to buy & play PSVR1 games on the PSVR2. Be that a software abstraction layer to play the actual PSVR1 titles, or gone ham on porting over their ~15 best games to the PSVR2.
