lots places dropped price by £200 in uk so looks like their doing a push for steam

Is there any indication that Sony are planning to bring some VR titles to steam as well?

None, a shame as it'll potentially keep Horizon landlocked but in an ideal world the expansion to Steam would have led to remakes/remasters of Astro Bot, Blood and Truth etc but it doesn't seem likely as it seems doubtful Sony is doing it to harden a VR push

Well thats a bit of a let down, Maybe sales have dried up for PStation owners and this is an attempt to sell of remaining stock to PC users?

Sony would need to have some VR titles in order to bring them to Steam.

The HZD experience looked good, maybe let the Resi exclusives come over?

The thoery that Sony is clearing stock wouldn't surprise, especially with GAME starting to vacate the space etc. With the adaptor coming soon it'll be a solid push to clear inventory and it'll probably work but I also imagine CEX will see an influx soon

After clearing these I wouldn’t be surprised if Sony followed up with a budget, non-oled revision, like they did with the Vita

Maybe, though whatever model they run will likely be in drip feed quantities for the remainder of the gen. It's so weird that you can broadly trust Sony with the main consoles but everything else they release is a severe dice roll.

I've been looking at the IVRy drivers, there is a "Lite" version, but the beta is going to cost you £17. It may well be worth getting still though, especially if you already have a lighthouse set up as the driver supports using the lighthouse tracked Index controllers, using the PSVR2 purely as the HMD - would be a audio downgrade, but quite a massive upgrade on video.

Use your Sony PSVR2 as a VR Headset for your PC. Lets you run SteamVR & Oculus Rift PC VR titles using your PSVR2 headset.

The Sony drivers/app only support inside-out tracking via Bluetooth to your PC, so reliability issues regarding connection dropouts might be a hicup. I'll give the IVRy lite a go when I can get an adapter next month.

There's an Amazon listing for PSVR2 + Adapter now which links to two different SKUs underneath - shows a release date of 7th August, so maybe the adapter will be available tomorrow also - not sure why Sony hasn't made pre-orders available for it, but if you click on the adapter listing you get an error page. Looks to be £49.99 on Amazon.

                          ソニー・インタラクティブエンタテインメント(SIE)は、8月7日から、PlayStation VR2(PS VR2)をWindows PCで使うための「PlayStation VR2 PCアダプター」を発売する。価格は8,480円。

SIE says that PSVR2 was designed with connecting to PC in mind from the beginning

"The importance of PC connection was recognized even within the PS VR2 development team, and PC connection was also taken into consideration when the design of PS VR2 began. On the release date of PS VR2, we first worked on optimizing the VR experience when connected to a PS5, and then accelerated development of PC compatibility after the release."

Sure it was, that's why it used the obscure and dead since the RTX 2000 series PC graphics cards USB-C Alternate Mode VirtualDisplay link connection.

Yeaaaaah.... Also why the PSVR2 PC adaptor doesn't have a Bluetooth chip, meaning you need to buy one of a specific subset of Bluetooth chips that work with the controllers.

Okay, so you can get a pre-order for the adapter on Amazon by ordering the headset/adapter package above, and then cancelling the headset straight away. Just leaves the adpater on the order then ...

Looks like they still won't actually be shipped until tomorrow though, for arrival on Thursday.

Edit: Now dispatched, so should be here on Thurday - the adapter listing is available to freely order now from the link above.

Edit 2: Well it was 15 mins ago, looks like it went out of stock already. Also sold out on the official store, but this is the **link**
