I don't think we will see MK9 announced till after the DLC series is concluded. Probably in 2024 for release Xmas 2024, Deluxe edition to follow as a launch game for Switch 2 at Xmas 2025.
Too right. Nintendo: Now you're playing with UNMET EXPECTATIONS!!

I make you right about MK9 likely appearing after the conclusion of the MK8D Booster Course Pass.

2035 will actually be a DLC of some random Mercedes cars. The track DLC arrives in 2040.

And a Samurai Goroh Mii costume + Fire Stingray Kart, just to emotionally abuse/troll the F-Zero fanbase further.

Are the Mario Kart tracks online play only? Or also can be played in local multiplayer? Is there any single player cup action?

As far as I can see they work the same way all other tracks work. So the 8 new tracks are split into two cups of four tracks each.

Famiboards are saying that the Switch now has groups (folders).

New update brought them a little while ago.
Sad when that's exciting to us, but understandable given how cluttered my Switch is.
Apparently games can be added to multiple groups (~folders).

Susume!! Mamotte Knight is finally arriving western Switches on April 14th, two years after the Japanese release.
SMK is the mhmmm...third I think? chapter in the Gotta Protector saga.

Edit: LRG will have a physical edition for preorder from the 25th of March.

Does the budget switch have joycon drift issues or just the regular one?

You mean the Switch Lite? Yeah, apparently the regular, Lite and OLED all have it. The Switch family in general won't exhibit the problems as quickly as with the early models, because there were some slight design changes, but it will eventually happen in all of them. I only know this because when the Lite came out, people tore it open to see if the sticks used the same design, and apparently they do.

I don't tend to hear of many Switch Lite drift complaints. There were a few within days of it being released but then not all that much after that. That's purely anecdotal of course but I do wonder if it seems to be having fewer drift problems than the main joycons for whatever reason. Every single set of joycons I've had have developed hideous drift but our Lite hasn't... yet.

I just tried it out. As a feature it's impressively half-arsed as it doesn't carry over to the menu screen.

Only took Nintendo five years to get to this point.

What's the bloody point if you can't put said created folders on your home screen??
