Most disliked video on YouTube, deservedly so to be honest.

As there is no first play thread, for you Carrion players that have finished it, how to do you deal with getting lost. Having no map or even something as helpful as a small text box saying 'go this area next' on the background LCD screens, i'm find the further i get into the game the harder it is to make progress.
Finished the Nuclear Plant area(aside from the containment bit, there some sticky mine i can't get pass so i assume it some ability i'll get later) and got the 3rd form with the pull hooks. Spent over an hour going around in circles hovering over all the connecting warps to see what % of progress they are at and it all 66%(with only a containment secret area to get into) or 100%.

Gah, Nintendo are so infuriating. Breath of the Wild, an absolute masterpiece, the Mario game probably the same but not my cup of tea. Everything else about the Switch ranges from disappointing to garbage. Disappointing: pro controller issues, poor: joy con drift with no fix in sight, battery life, no game save backup without a subscription, garbage: these emulated titles. Their QA is all over the place and the Joycons themselves are yet another gimmick. I don't think we've seen much use of them detached/waggling after the first batch of titles have we? (I'm prepared to be corrected on this one), hence the lite where they don't come off because really, they never needed to in the first place.

I've got to disagree on the JoyCons being a gimmick. I think the design of the Switch must absolutely rock for kids with how versatile it is. I mean, tear a chunk off your Gameboy so you can play two player with a friend? I would've loved that back in the day!
As a boring grown up who never plays local multiplayer and doesn't have to share his TV with anyone, I never actually use mine. My Switch is behind the TV and I use a Pro controller. But I still think they're a brilliant idea with mostly brilliant execution. The reliability issues are the only thing that really lets them down.
At the end of the day the Switch is a toy and I think the JoyCons make it a much better one that it would be if the only model that existed was the Lite.
And for the boring grown ups, there's always the Pro pad

I guess the reliability is a big deal though, especially when considering kids. I do think the build quality of the main unit is very poor and the drift issue is terrible and absolutely awful that they have done nothing about such a consistent issue. For me, I love the joy-cons and I love the system but it should be much greater quality than it currently is. I don't know if the main casing issues are any better on the OLED yet. Maybe it's a better build?
