DF review of the Edge.

TLDW: The in built menu on the console is a nice touch, allowing a suite of customisations. The customisations can then be saved as 3 different lay outs for specific games and swapped directly from the controller.
The bad thing is the battery is not only different in size to the dualsense, making swaps impossible, but its actually a worse battery!

Overall its very Meh. The elite controller is arguably better bang for you bucks.

The battery doesn't bother me.

My biggest gripe is the shiny plastic cover around the sticks - scratchtacular!!

You could do this right from day 1 of launch, it was just a few menu clicks away.

Ah you're right, seems a bit inaccurate though? I haven't done 459 hours in Final Fantasy X HD Remaster or 25 hours on The Witcher 3, which just came out and I have a couple hours on it. I played on PC previously so I have 0 prior time on console

How can they possibly manage without it?

Impressive numbers which you'd have to attribute to:

a) Releasing GOW: Ragnarok to critical praise from all quarters
b) Packing in GOW with consoles ahead of Christmas
c) Raising the prices of consoles

Quote - Baldur's Gate 3 will be coming out this summer, but the title won't be exclusive to PC and Mac devices. Today, Larian Studios announced that Baldur's Gate 3 would be released on August 31st. While the release date wasn't exactly a surprise (the game was previously slated for an August 2023 release), it was revealed at today's PlayStation State of Play that the game would also be available on the PS5 at launch. Previously, it was assumed that the game would only be available on PC and Mac devices, but instead the game will be available to a wider (and assumably more casual) gaming audience this fall.

I guess if I were selling the amount of consoles Sony is I'd sit on my line up too. Almost nothing of interest at all for me in there, Sony bringing up the rear for me atm in 2023.

The big surprise for me in the state of play was Tchia it looked bloody lovely and I'm glad to see that previews of it are getting really nice write ups too

Few interesting looking vr games coming, nothing ground breaking, Before your eyes looks like a fun little afternoons play, and Foglands looked pretty cool. Suicide squad I really liked the look of from a game-play point of view, it looked big and bombastic and like it would be a lot of fun in an online co-op scenario, I trust rocksteady to make this fun to play and not another Avongors. the most fun ive had online is in games like destiny where a group of you are working together to take down bosses in raids and this looks like it will take the best part that type of gameplay and blows it wide open.
