Same as the pro controller from MS, both utterly pointless.

Id have to agree its crazy to me that under the hood their can be so little change for such a jump in price. Its a real emperors new clothes type thing. One thing the Microsoft pad dose have going for it though is that it comes with a rechargeable battery and a cute little dock for charging, **** you double AA standard pad you can gather dust in the cupboard.

By comparison the PS5 pro controller seems to offer even less, no dock no fancy grips, the standard pad already has a battery so for your extra money all your getting is back paddles, and an option for stick replacements that cost as much as a new standard controller so are ultimately pointless.

I would imagine that Sony largely learned that they could either put all of those new console costs into a Pro model and net maybe 10m sales from it or wait an extra 18 months and slap a 6 on the box and net 100m+ sales instead

Has there been a controller update in the last few days then? I've not seen anything, i wont update if that's the case.

The update was last week I think. Either my controller is on the blink (my third one now) or the update has done something. I'm noticing it flashing for life much more often and it even died on me the other day, despite me putting it on charge everytime I'm finished.

If I were to total it up I've probably lost minutes of my life to fobbing off those controller updates each time I use the system. Has anyone ever noticed a positive impact from them? Do they even provide any update notes to tell you even vaguely what they're doing?

Thing is, I have a dualsense which has a broken USB port, so I can't update it, and as such the ps5 has stopped me from using it until I do update it. I can charge it in the Dock, but its useless.

They're apparently old screens but the first images have leaked of the Horizon Multiplayer game that's inbound

I don't think they're aiming for me with the art style but let's be fair, it's really good to see Sony creating multiplayer games.

I think TLOU multiplayer is more interesting for me.

I think out of the two, Horizons will play better. I have some trust in that Decima engine.

Picked up a Pulse 3D headset today.

It's nice. I know there are more expensive alternatives and I could use a normal wired headset (have tried but cable annoys me!)

I like that I can just switch it on and it syncs with the console, audio is clear and the 3D effect does seem more pronounced than the wired over-ear set I've used before.

No worries about charging it as I have a USB-C cable plugged into the soundbar so something gets charged while the TV is on.

Apparently the leaker said it was from an old 2020 build hence the graphics.


Also TLoU ps4 version multiplayer is still online and active, most people just don’t realise.

That Horizon MP has some Monster Hunter vibes. I remember how MHW had an Aloy armour set. Damn, really hope Capcom announce MH World 2/MH6 this year.
