I assume there are now deals on PS5 due to a revision being imminent? If I trade my PS4 Pro in to game I can get a new PS5 disc version for £270, but not sure I either need a PS5 yet due to a lack of must have games, or want to be looking at that gopping monstrosity in my living room.

A slim is meant to be the on the way later this year, but is heavily rumoured to require to be digital-only with an optical drive available only as an optional add-on.

People holding out for a slim.. are you as disappointed as me if it doesnt have a drive? I was looking forward to hoovering up bargains.

I just sprung for a phat in the price drop and, having set it up, I don't hate the aesthetics of the thing. Given the mood music I imagine this will be the last Sony console with an integral drive so I went for it as a matter of 'principle'. Now then, are there any games worth playing on it...

I caved, my PS5 arrived last night. This thing is mahoosive, very little clearance in my TV unit.

Now that I've done this Sony is clear to announce new hardware.

Given the sales momentum that the PS5 has that's probably all they need, reduce costs by axing having two SKU's and a bit of a marketing buzz. It definitely seems like this gen is going to be one where all the alt-models are pretty redundant
