Man, I wanted Exoprimal to be good, being a Lost Planet fan, but after playing the demo I was very underwhelmed. I hope it's not the case in the full game, but you aim to give users a great impression of your game in a demo, right?

I'll probably get Starfield either in a sale from elsewhere or where ever is cheapest at launch.
PC gamers are a slippery beast because of all the options available. GP needs to refresh itself as THE best place to get games on PC, but Steam kind of got there first.
The biggest plus for Xbox is being able to play on your console, cloud or PC and just pick up where you left off... Microsoft needs to make that whole ecosystem experience bullet proof when it extends to PC (console/cloud is pretty much seamless already for every title).

It's OK, Redfall is going to be the big hitter for Xbox, it's gre-
Oh Jesus no.
So we are now at a situation were Xbox is relying on Starfield to save the day, from a developer known to release Jank. There has to come a point were even the most hardened Xbox fans put their hands up and call it day. Xbox is utterly dead at this point. There is genuinely no reason to buy or own one.

Really disappointing.
This is my kind of game and so I was hoping it was going to be good but sweet jesus... they should have delayed that a year.
Not sure who is at fault on that decision given how Bethesda operate independently but really Xbox as a whole needs to take quality control as the top priority. Even if that means delaying games like Starfield etc...

Thing with Arkane titles, and I know this is potentially a grenade subject, is that I've always enjoyed them but they're open world in a fairly illusionary sense as there's always a clear structure to them as well. They're also solid, with lots of approach options but semi-janky as well. The idea of Arkane trying to wrap that borderline quality to a co-op based experience just feels like overreach from the first step. It's never looked compelling to me either so I kind of see Redfall as either an Xbox exclusive disappointment or if they hadn't have bought it a multiformat disappointment. It was never a title I anticipated being worth buying so I can imagine at the least Game Pass will lead to more playing it than otherwise would have been the case.
It's generally dire out there though. Switch has Zelda soon but Xbox can't really get a big name title out whilst PS5 isn't really releasing anything at all either. We're supposed to be right in the heart of this generation and it almost feels like it's slowing down from never even starting.

I usually keep track of the upcoming games I want in order to budget etc. It currently has 2 Switch games (both being games I'm feeling incredibly comfortable with leaving till a later date) and though the list would typically track everything running throughout the year and into the early stages of next year my current list is only five titles long and stops in July. I think that's also why I fixate on the summer showcases. Given how Directs work these days, if the summer presentations are poor it will mean all of 2023 and the vast majority of 2024 will be as well which largely writes off this generation of consoles as we'll be strolling into Year 5 of both and the death of the Switch by then.
