I cannot imagine Battle Royale will go well for them, the level of trust will be floor low. Feels a repeat of a franchise over stretching itself in pursuit of an already crowded market at the cost of the one it already controls

I can understand the co-op conundrum given the open world nature of the campaign. Though it still should have made launch, on the original date.

I'm glad that it's looking like it'll deliver now and with 4 players I think it'll be a good laugh. Hopefully they'll reinstate 2p split screen as well but maybe not for last gen consoles.

The battle royale I'm mixed about. I don't think they need it and potentially they run the risk of diversifying too much. But from the sounds of things they've found through data mining it does sound fairly promising.

Really though I'm just waiting to see what forge brings in terms of new arenas / modes. I want that multiplayer to get to a point where your can play a specific mode for an evening and not the see and map twice.

I think it's exactly this. The slipspace engine has apparently been notoriously difficult to use... I'd say these are the top level changes in management planned to stop the rot.

I've got a feeling with the current 343 re-structure and community backlash they'll reinstate this at some point.

This continues to look like something special. Really hoping we see some quality community maps and modes...

I'm also reading in other news that MS stealth patched some wider DRM issues. Some still remain but it's a big step forward.
