True, it's no surprise that Sony is getting in the action now. To think, it only took $80bn in acquisitions to get it there too!

No doubt it’ll have m&k support on console so won’t be a big deal.

        3. At what point do we see the inevitable pro models of the Series S / X / PS5?
60fps or no sale now for me, 30fps is utterly unplayable. I honestly don’t know why a lot of devs are bothering with all the details in their games to be honest, to put all that effort into your art, only for it to be such a low frame rate blurry mess no one sees any of it is a monumental waste of resources, time & money.

60fps should be the min now.

          Yeah they confirmed it does.

If something like Horizon and Halo can run at 60, there is no reason why Gotham Knights and Plague Tale can't.
Gotham is badly developed and plague tale is either artistic choice, not optimised, or more likely an over ambitious reach with the game engine.

I was amazed by Digital Foundry's findings on Plague's Tale, it honestly feels like it doesn't touch what other devs will pull off this gen - as impressive as it is given the devs - so it feels a bit odd it being used as an example of why 60fps wasn't possible. It's very much a game that reeks of... it was, if someone else with the resources had made it

I agree 60fps should always be the target but if we're fast approaching a plateau where that isn't achievable then I would prefer developers attempt to get a stable 40fps (sacrificing resolution or resorting to FSR / scaling etc..) than purely resorting to 30fps.

It's a pipe dream but hopefully we see 40fps options become more popular.

PSA... so MS rewards have removed the Fortnite daily challenge for Cloud and gone back to the multiplayer focus challenge for playing with people on PC.

Best way to do this that I've found is install Age of Empires Definitive Edition and go to search for lobbies. There's a handful of ones called "daily rewards 250pt - no play" so you just join a lobby and wait for 2-3 mins for the reward to pop.

Standard Elite two controller is back on sale at the moment, I cashed in a ton of reward points and got myself one coming Monday, the standard elite 2 Works out about £40 cheaper than a custom elite 2 controller, not a bad freebie for just playing games on the xbox.

You can buy 3rd party parts on Amazon if you did want to customise it yourself later...

We’re just approaching that point where small-med sized devs (or ones that can’t organise themselves) would rather the game look good in stills for pre sales than actually play nicely.

Something like Plague dropping to 25fps in the day and age is an absolute joke.

For the love of God, if you haven't already got it, get the 'Microsoft Complete for Xbox Elite Controller with Accidental cover' for the 3 years warranty. It's only £15.99 and there's like a 90% chance you'll need to use it.

Somerville (from the guys that did Inside) is hitting Xbox and PC on Nov 15th. On Game Pass as well.

Correction... ex-play dead developers (who did Limbo and Inside).

Another tiny piece in the mysteries of Xbox business. Game Pass significantly missed its growth targets this year
