yeah that would be cool. Like classic COD. A situation where you could jump into any of them and MP would be fairly populated. Oh and Medal of Honor: Allied Assault!

Besides the newest COD dropping day one into the service in the near future is one thing but I'm also sure Xbox would put all previous COD titles into game pass and maybe even enhance them if possible.
I enjoy the campaigns so that would make me happy as I skipped a few (infinite warfare and vanguard).

I know we don't have the PS Plus Extra and Premium games for this month yet, but just compare Microsoft's curation to Sony's - Vampire Survivors, Return to Monkey Island, Pentiment and Somerville are all very much games that are much talked about and hyped and that, crucially, are NEW.
The fact that they've leapt straight on Vampire Survivors, a game that emerged from nowhere, and gotten it out on their service as quickly as they have speaks volumes.
Sony's October games were a massive stack of old AssCreeds that could probably all be had in CeX with change out of a £20 note, a big stack of Dragon Quest spinoffs about which the same could be said, and some other old bits and pieces that have all been in more ports than the QE2.
Game Pass gets Somerville, PS Plus gets Inside. That says it all.
Sony really need to pull their fingers out.
Their first party title output is definitely better than MS right now but I'm not buying £50-70 games these days unless they're ones I can get for free with my MS rewards on Xbox like MW2. Actually keep contemplating selling my PS5 and picking one up again in a couple years.

Much like their PC strategy I think Sony would do well to simply state that first party releases would hit their subscription services in <12m or maybe even <6m from initial release.
That at least gives consumers a choice of buying it now in the conventional way and getting caught up in the release hype (and hopefully avoiding spoilers), or simply knowing if they are prepared to wait a while they could get it as part of the higher tier subscriptions, or on PC.
The two main selling points for game pass is that day and date release promise for first party games coupled with the zero risk of trying out games you normally wouldn't even give a second glance.
Sony doesn't have to copy the day one strategy if it doesn't have the appetite for it... but I think if they gave timeframes for big releases hitting their subscription services it would be enough to keep subscribers continually signed up.

There has been some leaked footage of Overdose, Kojimas Xbox game. You can find it if you look around, I won't post it here.
Thing to note is that it's only a proof of concept, is set in a Death Stranding location and is using the Decima engine, which I would imagine won't be used for an Xbox game.

I would think that a large portion of owners are the same due to online, trade-ins etc.
Yes, yes. Having an RRP of £69.99 is terrible but, well, what are you going to do?

I paid £70 for GT7. I can't say I haven't played it a lot but I try to forget the price.
Everything else I got on sale.
I don't think there is another entertainment market anywhere else were a joint decision can be made to just increase the price for no reason. Videogames are a real sellers market.

I think the issue with the £70 is there's very little way around it if you're digital. That attributes for a fair share of PS5 owners now, which probably explains why buying from countries like Turkey has gotten so popular.
You've got that coupled with the fact Sony doesn't let you buy game codes outside of PSN.
On Xbox it's less of an issue being digital. You've obviously got Game Pass, but equally you've got MS rewards putting money back in your pocket each month and you can also scan places like CD keys or Eneba for game codes.
It doesn't surprise me that people that are into physical discs are trading in to offset the cost n but really it's a high price to ask overall. For a game like Ragnarok it's arguably worth it for most, but then MLB The Show is priced the same...
