It's essentially the same as the old method used on PS3 to get games that wouldn't release same day or at all in the EU. Setting up a PSN account that is registered as being in Turkey so you have access to their store then setting up a digital currency card to top up and use to pay for games. Once downloaded they can play in full English via your primary account, main difference being that brand new £70 releases cost on average about £37 despite Truss' efforts to tank the poundComment

You could always do this on Xbox as well. When I was in Australia I used to buy digital from US, Canada, Hong Kong and Singapore as they were all cheaper and the game unlocked earlier thanks to time zones.
Much easier on Xbox as well as it can be done all from the single account. Game Pass and Rewards just means I don't need to do that these days...Comment

One other problem MS need to overcome is that when they do release exclusives, they are actually polished and/or finished.
We all know Starfield will be a broken mess too so we can probably expect apologies for that too.

I think Halo is its own thing in this example and we can analyse it forever as how not to release a platform leading title.
Forza Horizon 5, Flight Simulator, Deathloop, Psychonauts 2, As Dusk Falls, Grounded etc... have all been pretty much bug free and launched well.
I also think Sea of Thieves is probably the best example of a service game from a first party.
So it's not all bad but yeah... Halo Infinite was one mistake after another.
The good news there is in a few days Halo gets co-op, forge (beta), new maps and a tonne of fixes... almost a re-release.Comment

I know, it's outlying, but you don't see Nintendo apologising for Mario's release.
Sony too haven't had to issue statements like this. And it's not the first from 343i. It's on Microsofts head.
My dream would be to get Rare or someone to write it and Infinity Ward (when owned) to make it.Comment

Still got my week streaks on Xbox though thankfully
Around 4 weeks from a full year of chasing most of the available points.
My interest in the monthly apps ones is fading as they've become a chore of late. Otherwise most stuff. Interested to see what a years total is.Comment

I've no idea how to check monthly reward points earnings since they changed the rewards homepage. For monthly the rewards page shows the tally but it resets on the 1st so it's a bit blink and you miss itComment

When on your Rewards tab with the blue banner of stats across the top, if you click on the end one about Points Earnt it will bring up a pop up page breakdown. At the top it gives a points this month so far total.
Mine should crack 10,000 points so far this month by the end of todayComment
