You’d be surprised at the amount of people who play absolutely rubbish ‘games’ on their phones and tablets. From experience a large portion of the public don’t really ‘game’ but use these Angry Bird type on the go to way of filling time and distracting themselves when they are waiting around or procrastinating - likely the latter.
It’s interesting how they have made a market from idleness and procrastination… Born from modern day lifestyles, like waiting in line; wasting time; being indecisive, etc…

I think the many different avenues of milking Angry Birds over the years, in movies, gaming, merchandise has made the franchise a household thing with children - so I think they are around for a while. Who knows, they may be the next Mickey Mouse, where households will have at least something angry birds related for future generations.
Who would have thought that it would be such a cash cow.
I am not someone who is in touch with anything Angry Birds, other than what I see advertised on media from time to time.

The only new thing Rovio seems to be able to do is angry birds but with loads of micro transactions, or mediocre and over complicated games using characters from the angry birds games that don't have the same simple appeal of fling this as that until you win.

What cracks me up is how pride comes before a fall. I remember when the Rovio CEO was saying "we don't like it when people call us a video games company; we don't make video games, we're in the entertainment industry"I love it when I see developers who are weirdly embarrassed that they make videogames.
