All the articles I've seen about this have gone with the same "[...] since Final Fantasy XVI" angle, whereas it's also being reported that the actual loss came from other failures (Avengers, Forspoken etc) and it's more that FFXVI didn't recoup those losses, rather than causing them. It's an odd angle to take.
