More like the latter. It did have a completely different audio soundtrack and it's really beautiful. And it had I think a couple of extra levels. And that was it. But even having it with those extra levels and soundtrack has me interested.

Yeah I think they added some missing levels that couldn't fit on the cartridge.
Ecco went from blissful oceans to HR Giger on the MD. In an attempt to make it slightly more coherent they added them on the CD.

I'm slightly surprised at Viewpoint, it has great music but the slowdown on it is pretty jarring (and slowdown doesn't usually bother me). It might make the system look awful.

Have edited this a few times now as they keep announcing more stuff in "one more thing..." style

Super Locomotive is an '82 Sega arcade game that's not been ported before, and the two Party Quiz games are updates to Party Quiz Mega Q with newly written questions that are relevant to today. Also featured in the stream: Takenobu Mitsuyoshi (he of Daytona fame) turning up to announce some MD Mini 2 accessories - a keyring, a card holder, an omamori charm, and a carry case for the system and a control pad. He's also been added as the host in the Sega Q version of Party Quiz.

ANOTHER EDIT: THEY'RE STILL GOING. Silly me thinking the cut to a Sonic the Hedgehog movie trailer meant they were done. The Puyo Puyo game is a new conversion that's 2p only, and Space Harrier 2's had a bunch of performance improvements made to it.

Bloody loved midnight resistance on the arcade as a kid. Never played any of the home ports as I always felt the control for aiming wouldn’t be right. Wouldn’t mind them bringing that out in an arcade archives type release for current consoles or even a re glossed version.

Japanese stream is winding down now, don't think there's any new games to announce and they're going through the UI. But elsewhere, here's confirmation of an EU release.
