Have to say i'm pretty impressed they got Ranger X and Soleil/Centy on there, class games.

Soleil is easily one of my favourite Mega Drive games so that’s a big one for me.

The Euro/US release has a belting selection of games on it. I must admit I’m tempted by it even if I have a lot of the games already. The new stuff looks like fun.

Is Fatal Fury 2 on the MD any good? I think it’s the only original game on there I’ve never played. I like the series but as soon as I see Takara were involved I shudder.

I notice when they've ported Super Locomotive across, they've swapped a few notes around on the soundtrack so it's no longer an exact copy of Rydeen by YMO. It's not a very good game really, the only thing that notable about it was the music (that they'd nicked). I like to put it on sometimes and just listen to it for a bit.

Not sure why I can't find the Mini 2 on Amazon JP though - my assumption being that they've hidden it from UK customers and that it's going to be a case of going to an importer rather than buying direct. If anyone finds it and I'm just losing my marbles, please link me up.

That box art on that UK version brings back some memories. Which reminds me, I’m sure I’ve still got my boxed mega drive 2 on top of a wardrobe at folks house.
Some nice games on there. Price touch high for me to bite personally.

You could argue that the Sega Mega Drive Classics collection released on PS4/XB1/Switch back in 2018 is pretty much the closest thing to it (barring the Mega-CD games).

Yeah I love that. I have it digitally on the Switch. The stuff on here that's not on there could be a DLC pack. The shelves in the bedroom could be filled and expanded. Quite why this frankly obvious idea hasnt materialised is baffling.

Yeah, think I'll pass at that price tbh. Aside from a pretty new mini, it's not really offering much over any of the (hacked) others, it is a different SoC with slightly more storage, but not sure that justifies the price hike - definitely not a must-buy for me.
