I'm hoping they are not in the actual game and this is just an ad thing.
Yup. Kevin Afghani, the new voice of Mario & Luigi, also voices Wario in WarioWare: Move It. It was confirmed not so long ago.

I honestly think Nintendo kinda nailed it. Just make a follow-up.
The Joy-Cons make origami look strong. They desperately need to be improved and Nintendo have zero excuses to not do so if they remain for Switch 2.

I'm not asking Nintendo to go back to making Gulf War-proof Gameboys but they do need to be returning to making durable hardware because the Switch really isn't that.

The only way that even remotely flies with the consumer base (and let's be crystal clear: it absolutely won't) is if the Switch 1 models get drastic price cuts across the board - 50% off minimum. But we all know how Nintendo feel about price cuts, so...

Nintendo will continue to release new titles and content "without being bound by the traditional concept of the platform lifecycle."

That sounds like they're going to try supporting two formats concurrently. Although they said the exact same with the NES, GBA, and the 3DS. It's more than likely just damage control until the new platform blows balls off/grows legs and nobody really gives a **** anymore.

I'm just not so sure how they transition away from 100M+ first-party full-priced annual game sales.

Maybe they'll just slap the word New onto the Switch's name and pretend that the Switch 2 is actually just a more powerful iteration of the same system. That way they won't technically bring the Switch, its sales and software to an end until exclusively New Switch software is being released on the system?

Effectively doing what MS is trying

yeah because that worked well with the wii u and wasn’t at all confusing for consumers, if your surgesting making all software work on any switch’s this is an issue microsoft has come unstuck with, games like balders gate don’t have full feature parity across the series s and x, dropping support for local co op form the s version to get it working on that system.

Not parity, games developed for the successor would only work with that machine. But someway of smoothing over the branding so it's less of a generational restart from scratch. As much as backwards compatibility is discussed, usually all it amounts to is your past games still work but people quickly move on from them and focus on the new machines content. If Nintendo wants to maintain both at the same time for a while they either need to better manage the crossover period than usual or drastically reduce the Switch's RRP once the Switch 2 lands.

Then again, talk about keeping the Switch going from them is probably about as reliable as the talk they made of keeping the GB and DS going together

A neat set of taiko bachi have been announced today, they are fitness bachi you put don & kat shaped weights in the ends to give resistance while playing in motion mode.

EDIT: Apparently these will be mainly used in a new fitness mode that's been added to the game sometime in december as an update.

Apparently the first TnT game is being delisted from the eShop at the end of the month.
