Not gonna lie - I didn't ever see it happening (everything pointed to a general consensus of it not happening) and I'm surprised that it is happening. It's easily the worst Xenoblade Chronicles game by a distance, even if the WiiU sucked. Will the Switch userbase make this suddenly sell loads of copies this late in the machine's lifecycle? I really doubt it.

Nevertheless, I'm sure that kryss will be delighted.

I am! I can finally have the game on another console to store my dust collection on.

Xenoblade chronicles X was an odd game....been so many years since i played it but one thing i remember feeling at the time was the game badly needed quality of life improvements, there was a mission would not let me join because i had a certain character and it did not allow me to quick swap out the character so had to manually remove them and add a new one...but to get that character back i had to find them on the map again and go to them to add them (and i think they were not easy to find)

I've not played Xenoblade Chronicles X, but whenever I see it, I want to play it. The mechs flying and the seemingly verticality of the world.

                  Very random question.

I want to get a digital copy of Stardew Valley for my sister and her wife for Christmas for their switches.
Can you still buy them on like a gift card or something anywhere like Game or do you just get a printed receipt?

I'd like to gift it but a receipt is kinda lame to 'gift'

Unless there’s a digital voucher version of the game in a box, there doesn’t appear to be any way to do this on switch.

No. There is no way to send a gift in the Nintendo eShop (on-device or off-device). Prepaid Nintendo eShop funds cards are available in most retailers, and may be a good option to consider.

You’ll have to get switch vouchers or a physical version.

More importantly, where have you been?

TBH, work has been tough (been training a new girl only for her to be expecting and helping her pass her exam and get ready for maternity leave), had some health concerns over my mother, a rather lovely if tense holiday with said mother and been playing a little too much Supermarket Simulator lol. Overall good just plodding along and randomly not posted much.

Just started playing on my switch for the first time in about 6 months recently, getting Paper Mario Thousand Year Door for Christmas hopefully (steering things back to topic). Hoping to play more and some VR in the new year.

Since it appears from the answer above it’s not possible to do as you wish, how about buying or making a suitable card and writing the download code therein?

Cracking idea! If there’s anyone who could make a nicer gift card than what Nintendo would do, it’s our Blobcat.

                            Aww that's nice.

I will probably end up writing it in a card but I'll also keep a copy of the code on my phone as, knowing my sister at least, if the card doesn't have money in it, its likely to get lost soon after receiving it.

I won't be making a card from scratch though as I am probably making something for them both and my mother now as she has asked me to make her 'something'. I rarely find time for crafts and reading let alone gaming atm.
