If I was to borrow my son's Switch, what's the one Switch game you'd say I should play?

I can imagine the games that will get rhymed off but personally, Luigi's Mansion 3 is sublime

Aside obvious titles like Mario Odyssey? Limited to exclusives: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and 3, Super Mario RPG, Metroid Dread, Bakeru, Kirby And The Forgotten Land, Gotta Protectors: Cart Of Darkness, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Advance Wars.

My most memorable AAA title of the Switch's library is probably going to go down as Xenoblade Chronicles 2, so, that.

I very rarely finish JRPGs, I usually fall out at some point and rarely come back. XBC2 gripped me from start to end. I actually took a day off to power through the last 10 hours.

QualityChimp I really loved the Link's Awakening remake. It's a shot for shot remake and the game itself is just so compact and fun to play. Pure umami. And the new graphical style that they developed is awesome.

Funnily enough, Luigi's Mansion and Link's Awakening are the two games I have spent time playing.

Need to finish bustin' them ghosts as we're near the end and I swear I'm stuck in that last maze before reaching the egg.

If your son has Mario 3D World, that's a really fun game. Even if you don't want to play the full campaign, it's worth playing through Bowser's Fury, which is a separate compact 3D Mario game set in a bitesize open world. It only takes two or three hours to finish but it's a very enjoyable experience and stands out as a unique approach to a 3D Mario game.

Quite obviously Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Easily the biggest hitter on the system besides Odyssey and the first game. It’s absurd no one has mentioned it yet, not that that’s a sleight on the other games mentioned. It’s almost impossible to recommend just one game.

                    Super Mario Odyssey.

Easily more fun than both Zeldas IMO. Absolute fun from start to end and pretty much the embodiment of the platform as far as I'm concerned.

                      Cheers chaps.
I've done Odyssey and loved it, but not found all the shine gets (or whatever) as it felt like a bit of padding, but did a chunk of the fun ones.
Loved how you could play co-op as Cappy.

We have a couple of 2.5D Marios, including Bowser's Fury and one where Mario dresses like a cat.
Think I might play through one of them.

We have at least one Zelda (on top of Link's Awakening), which I keep meaning to play.

3D World is great as a single player game, however it's also just as good when played co-op. I do genuinely mean co-operation as well because a great deal of that is required to get through the levels with a minimum of stress and shouting! Each level is unique with ideas rarely, if ever, repeated.

Ninty have been taking down videos of the new mystery trial game . By all accounts it’s a global switch online planet development type of thing , each person is given a small area to manage with a hub area where communities are built

How many times can Metal Slug be dragged out for a re release, remaster, remake, re master make?

Has any of that ever really happened with Metal Slug? I don't think so.

It's had loads of sequels but little in the form of remakes or remasters or re-releases, bar the usual par-for-course compilation/Arcade Archives stuff.

This is a strategy game - a first for the IP unless you know something we don't?
