As I said to your earlier point, "That's fair enough," while admitting I didn't know the details of this relationship. I'll say it again: "That's fair enough." Now try to calm down, the Nintendo Direct will be on in a few minutes.

Maybe you should take your own advice on the whole calming down thing.Last edited by Nu-Eclipse; 18-06-2024, 13:56.

Just chill it out man.
I agree with Neon that if things don't change with how Pokémon games are developed, Switch 2 won't help. The first Switch 2 Pokémon game will feature radically increased effects and resolution and the same thing will just happen again with performance.
I'd honestly love to see what the elite EPD teams who develop mainline Mario and Zelda could do with a Pokémon game. It could be mindblowing stuff honestly.

The points raised by both you and Neon are correct. It still all lends to the point that Nintendo should really be exercising more due care with a blockbuster franchise of theirs.

Oh boy a sequel to Phantom Brave. Hope it runs better than Disgaea on Switch.
[edit] And that Legend of Link where you play as Zelda looks interesting.
[edit] and won't be surprised to see MP4 launching with Switch 2 and cross-generation.Last edited by briareos_kerensky; 18-06-2024, 15:38.

Are we Thinking Metroid 4 might also be on Switch 2 given that its 2025 launch?
I actually didn't find Metroid 4 that exciting looking, to be honest. It looks exactly like the Cube games, which is okay I guess, but they're nearly 25 years old and I was never that big on them personally.
The one I love the look of is the new Zelda game. That looks brilliant. I loved Link's Awakening and I love the creativity of being able to clone almost anything in the world and use it for navigation and fighting. It really feels like they've brought that open-ended gameplay style of Breath/Tears into a Gameboy-style Zelda. Very, very cool.
