I still have my original Switch Zelda carts, or am I missing something?
Where did I say that you needed an NSO sub to use the eShop?

    I don't think you've understood what I wrote.

Currently, the "upgraded" Switch 2 version of BOTW does not include the DLC with it. You would have to purchase the Expansion DLC for it, as far as I understand it.

If you're playing the original Switch 1 version of BOTW on a Switch 2 then the DLC you have for that should carry over fine...I think...

Sorry I mistook "I'm guessing that an NSO sub will give you access to the DLC for Switch 2 BOTW ".

Seems to be an awful lot of incorrect information being floated around by gaming sites atm, prob the best way of getting clicks.
      Best to wait and see

Yep, if you have the Switch 1 version of the game and the DLC then the only thing you'll need to pay for is the Switch 2 Upgrade - unless you have an NSO sub

...which still doesn't translate to "You need an NSO sub to use the eShop"!

          But cool. No worries.

I don't think there's nearly as much clickbait out there about it. The information is pretty much out there because Nintendo themselves have put most of it out there.

Trust me, I've been there. Too much Reddit is no good for anybody!

My preorder from a local retailer has been updated with a delivery date from the 16th of April ro the 13th of June. Let's hope it's towards the beginning of that period

                  Officially confirmed by Nintendo.

Went to the Switch 2 Experience at the ExCeL centre in London. DK was the most enjoyable, as expected. Just a note to say if anyone else is going you have to queue initially and then you get 4 hours in the main hall. For more popular games you may have to queue for around 15 mins. I would say you need at least 3 hours to really see everything. I didn’t realise this when I booked my coach!

Nice! Did you get a chance to play with it in handheld mode? How did the hardware feel?

The screen looked good, though I haven’t ever seen an OLED and tend to play docked. Lots of colour and higher resolution.

The device felt very similar to Switch 1 but yes it’s thinner and I think shoulders/triggers feel different.

The Pro controller wasn’t as identical as I expected. Hard to say what exactly without having the two together compare.

They begged a few of us to play Jamboree and the camera has a surprisingly wide angle of view. You shouldn’t have any Kinect style issues in a smaller living room.

I had a go on GameCube. Naturally it looks pretty awful on a big display, but no worse than Wii or GC via component. I wasn’t able to determine if the triggers are analogue, but hopefully that’s a given. I did ask but I don’t think the got knew about that. They showed 4 games and I played F Zero and SC2. Wind Waker was an option (4:3 SD, no thanks!) and Mario Strikers. The latter apparently won’t be available at launch. The controller felt solid but of course it was tethered to the stand so no wavebird-like freedom.

Metroid Prime looks pretty darned good. We were playing in 1080p at 120fps. I still have concerns about the Space Marine angle, it resembles Red Faction to or perhaps The Conduit in that respect. Plus loads of other humans fighting alongside. Hopefully this won’t ruin the conventional solitude and atmosphere. This is after all just 1 level.

The mouse controls probably best demonstrated in Metroid. I very quickly got pain in my wrists playing it this way. It felt a bit awkward. I often get this problem with mice and keyboard. It did seem to get a hit better once I realised I was supposed to just use the shoulder + trigger as mouse buttons (shoot/missile) and x/y (morph ball/visor I think?). They recommended people try mouse first but that you can also pick the controller up if preferred. They did mention you can play with them on your lap, but I’m not convinced! I think you can just swap your play style and there’s no need to change settings in the menu

In DK you can smash and dig just about everything. You can find hidden fossils underground and the tuning forks you hit highlights buried treasure. Neatly you dig up rocks and even surf them. They spin under you and you can hit them to spin faster.

Awesome impressions, and this is why I used to like going to shows to see and feel it in person.

One thing I forgot to mention is that I did get a chance to test the adjustable prop on the back of the screen. This for, do they call it desktop mode? Anyway it’s very stiff/robust and you can literally stop it at any degree of lean as advertised. I am
like to use this because I find the Switch 1 far too heavy on my wrists.
