If the rumours are true then the manufactured numbers are high with Nintendo aiming to sell in 9 months what they did in 18 for the original system. Apparently sites are now cancelling orders made from the US from people who hoped to get one shipped over to dodge the tariffs which will free up orders too

It took Nintendo being threatened with class action in North America before they decided to change course and offer free Joy-Con repair/replacement. Before that, they were totally happy to constantly veer between denial of Joy-Con issues and gaslighting the userbase.
No way in hell were they ever going to put Hall Effect tech in Switch 2 Joy-Con/Pro Controllers.
