Everyone I know that wants to get one has managed to secure themselves a console for release day.
This is looking a lot better organised than the PlayStation five launch.

I presume retailers put up fresh stock today because it was the original pre-order start date. Whether Nintendo released more stock or whether they just held some back I don’t know. Currys appears to still be taking preorders in store, so maybe they didn’t sell through their 10,000 yet.

Might be the latter. I ordered from Argos last week and both bundles had sold out within a few minutes of me doing that. I was a bit late to the party though. Seems dependent on post code too, so they're presumably not sending everything out from one hub.

I'm pretty sure that the Switch 1 Pro Controller doesn't have Hall Effect sticks.

That’s never good, PS5 Pro will be cheaper that Switch2 in US at this rate.

i’ve seen that the zelda TOK and BOTW updates are gonna be part of the Nintendo online pass, if you don’t want that their $10 each which is not that much really.

i'm seeing lots of places charging £60 for switch 2 game preorders so its just like where back in the snes days, and i’d rather pay £60 for a new mario kart or donkey kong than £70 for a ps5 remaster of the last of us to be fair.

All they learned was poorly built joycons = more joycon sales with no downside, why change the business model?, sadly.

No hall effect on the Pro. Possibly the larger package allows for a longer-lasting design. There are third-party controllers offering that though.

No way in hell were they ever going to put Hall Effect tech in Switch 2 Joy-Con/Pro Controllers.

If the rumours are true then the manufactured numbers are high with Nintendo aiming to sell in 9 months what they did in 18 for the original system. Apparently sites are now cancelling orders made from the US from people who hoped to get one shipped over to dodge the tariffs which will free up orders too

I hope you're right, but I think Nintendo have made up their minds on it and their actions - high physical software RRPs, Virtual Gamecards, Keys - would suggest that Switch 3 will be all-digital IMO.

    We shall obviously see.
