They did this with FH5 but there I think it was definitely worth it as it included VIP access, extra cars and the 2x DLC that was coming out. I didn't even think twice about dropping £32 given how good the DLC has been across Horizon 3-4.

Here though I don't really think it's worth it and feel happy to wait for another 5 days to jump in with the unwashed masses.

I'll be playing across Series X/S. I don't have aOC capable enough to play it and I've had got a 1tb card for the Series S to give me plenty of space for it.

You could argue that it launches (for digital Delux owners) five days prior to the standard edition

You're not getting the premium edition on Game Pass though, so you're getting the standard edition on day one like everyone else.

I still wouldn't put any money down on it prior to reviews though (and actually I'd go the Game Pass route simply because it has the potential to be a mess at launch).

I'm being pedantic all the digital deluxe edition is loads of tat and five day jump start on everyone else.

"Play day one with gamepass" is their marketing tag line, when it should be

"Pay Some More or Play day Five with Gamepass"

Its just not as catchy

You can pay the extra £30 over the price of the standard edition included and play it on Game Pass early tho, it's just not something I'd really want to do, maybe if you're streaming it and making up the extra on bits

You could argue that it launches (for digital Delux owners) five days prior to the standard edition, I dont blame micrsoft trying to push users into a more expensive version of the game when gamepass doesn't actually have any users that are paying £10 a month. Why? because cheap Xbox live gold vouchers and a shinny pound coin was all you needed to max you subs out for years to come.

I'd be amazed if even as many as 20% of Gamepass subscribers get it through the cheaper routes.

For those wanting to get a last breath top up before all the loopholes are closed at the end of the month you can top up while you have a sub still and get a better price via gold cards. the best conversion you get is via 3 month gold cards as these convert to 50 days of ultimate. Last week CD keys where doing them for £5.99, each, so 8 of these codes gets you just over a year of ultimate.

Sad, but at least they have given plenty notice. I shall have to draw up a list of stuff to buy before shutdown.

With any luck there'll be another round of backwards compatibility updates from Activision / Blizzard before they shutter everything.

At least moving forwards owned content is still accessible on newer generation consoles but I do wish they just kept it running.

Could it be the premium dlc, if you've not been on in a while the the hot wheels and its Rally DLC are massive downloads, there was a new car and garage update they put in a couple of days back and that was 10 gig too.

Ive got both of those downloaded. The italian pack is todays update but seems it wants the entire thing for some reason!

Very weird, mine was nowhere near that... has to be a bug where it's triggered downloading the whole thing again?

I've had nothing but issues with my SeriesX and downloads to the point i haven't played a game in 8 months as every time i want too, several games are downloading updates only when the console is turned on, and not updating in standby like they should. I have soft reset the console, hard reset, turned the options on/off, nothing works.

Absolute heap of junk.
