Somebody posted on the MS rewards reddit today to complain about how the daily puzzle only gets you 5 points now instead of 10.
The puzzle is now only worth 0.33 of a penny instead of 0.66, its like death by 1000 cuts at this point.Last edited by Lebowski; 16-11-2023, 15:33.Comment

Not too surprised. Microsoft seem to be on a belt tightening spree. Hard to see what they really get out of paying people to earn achievements and solve crosswords on their website is, other than an unsustainable bump to a few engagement metrics.Comment

It's made me set Bing as my default search in my work browser and ive installed micosoft edge which feels particularly dirty on a Mac, not noticed a massive drop off in search quality from not using google so as a loyalty scheme it works pretty well at getting people into the bing eco system and generating them revenue from advertising and gaining them market share of the lucrative search engine market.Comment

Can you earn points by being a Microsoft independent advisor? Because that would be way less effort than what you guys are doing. Simply find a question someone wants answered and reply with any old nonsense . Copy and paste your response to all the other questions you find and hey presto, new Xbox!Comment

Not quite the same thing but definitely a cheaper option if you can get the white version for less than RRP. I did this with a starfield controller mod earlier this month and it is really good.

To be fair, a less than minimum wage job would also take up vastly more time than the points which collectively take around 5 minutes to get most days Plus, having the job wouldn't mean you had to stop gathering points
I could stop and use Google instead but they give me nothing at all. I could spend a few minutes extra most days on PS5 or Switch - who also give nothing. So the value in doing it remains - well as long as the returns remain above a certain bar. The browser, phone and PC points are still worthwhile, the Xbox app ones though are very close to not being worthwhile thoughComment

Bit late to the party but Halo Infinite has added a new Halo3 playlist which includes remakes of some classic maps.
This is all sponsored by mountain dew which have added a new map as well, which by my count now brings the official map count across all 15 playlists up to 69.
The Halo 3 maps are all excellent still. The new aesthetics are a nice touch though I think some tweaks are needed on some weapon placement in certain modes for balancing.
343 have also added a new free battle pass with this update and have said there's more updates planned in the next few weeks (in the run up to xmas).
