If MS stops making Xboxes, I wonder what will happen to our libraries of old Xbox games.

I can’t imagine they’ll bother trying (or even be allowed to) emulate an Xbox 360 on PS6 so that I can play Daytona USA.

Maybe we’d need to hang onto our Series consoles.

Regardless, Gamepass would probably get rolled into PS Plus like EA Play does.

Come on Nonny It's easy to see that it is a heavily scripted set piece, theirs no way you could play the bits it shows as it's all far too smooth and seamless with very little in the way of guidance on where you should be going in the parkour bit.

Devs regularly mislead us with these "in Engine" slices Sony did it with No Mans Sky, and Bioware did it most famously with Anthem, Their first "in engine trailer" showing all sorts of stuff that never made it into the final game, During the fallout that followed ex Bioware staff admitted that the game hadn't actually been built or even started on when its first trailer landed.

I already said it was scripted/staged... I said we don't really know if it's just a vertical slice without the developers giving more insight.

You're also right to be cautious of final quality based off this given the known issues the initiative has had getting it this far... but again we just don't know how representative it will actually be until we see more and see actual hands-on gameplay.

I don't think Xbox has been that bad with target to actual final code recently. Hellblade 2 certainly lives up to the trailers. Forza almost always hits the landing, Starfield was great in my opinion... we won't talk about Redfall.

Who knows, we will see.

I imagine MS would keep support on their own consoles running for so long that by the time the plug is pulled the numbers would be vocal but small that objected. At their current rate of sales it might not take as long as expected either.

For Game Pass, when their own systems are dead Game Pass would be very close behind it. It's peaked already and is very coded to their consoles. The only way GP would make it onto PS and Switch would be if it was stripped back to MS content so as not to undermine store sales like EA Play and Ubisoft+ are and at that point MS would have deemed it financially unviable. At this point I'm resigned to Game Pass being like a beautiful dying star. It's amazing to have been here to experience and enjoy it but none the less it will eventually burnout and be gone forever.

By my eyes MS would be fools to not release Forza Horizon 6 on all formats Day One and if they did I think that would be the point of no return for Xbox studios games coming to all formats.

Stalker, state of decay and mixtape all looked pretty good. I don't get the problem with mixtape soundtrack; Kids never just listened to bands from their era and no matter what era a game is set in you should always have joy division on there!

Went back and tried Starfield last night to check out the 40/60fps modes and take a look at the creation club stuff.

They've set the mod file size limit to 100gb on console! I don't know what Skyrim was set at buy pretty sure Fallout 4 is 5gb?

The game would be much more suited to an 80's soundtrack, as that seems to be the era the graphics are portraying, it would just be a better fit.

I agree. The mention groups do nothing for me. Did I see Joy Division listed? At least that's something but I'd rather they move it to New Order.

As i don't care much about the state of Starfield as it's a crap and boring game to go look into the exact details (like the length of the mission and new content in it), Bethesda are getting ripped into online again for charging £6/7 for a single mission DLC

I imagine they're a fact of life now whenever a big title lands. The blowback each time they do it seems to get smaller and when you factor in how many Xbox's have been sold this gen, then how many are likely still in active use it probably comes back to the new focus on profitability the company has making the hard sell approach more important than the fan base dislike of seeing them.

I got one for Hellblade 2 about 10 days ago. While it's a game I had an interest in, it was bloody annoying.

I forget EDGE is still going because nowhere stocks it anymore near me but I just read that they scored Hellblade II a score of 4/10
