    Some MGS Music
    Some stuff in Resi Evil
Maiden of light from La Pucelle Tactics

    • Icecap Zone.
    • The in-game tune from Goemon 64 which my friend and I sung along to as "You are a big fat poo, a big fat poo and so are you". I don't know the name of it.
    • Funky Dealer from JSRF.
    • The battle theme from Paper Mario. I cannot even think about PM2 without the tune playing out in my noggin.
    • Outer Space, F-zero AX/GX. Shockingly ****ing good. Especially when T-drifting about at 3000km/h with the seat rocking like a nutter and you sweating like a pig.
    • A from Beatmania IIDX / DDR8th. It makes me feel LIKE A BIG MAN
    • The final battle tune from Puyo Pop Fever. Crazy.
    • Character select screen in DOA2. Fingers crossed for a phat remix in DOA:Ultimate!

    To name but a few.

        Ooo, great topic!

        - Double Dragon, the first stage. Possibly one of the most seminial theme tunes of 1980s gaming. Who else shat their pants when they put the 10p's in and took control of Billy whilst *THAT* music blasted out?
        - Skies of Arcadia, pretty much the entire OST, but most specifically the boss battle themes and the credits tune. Stuff that makes your spine tingle with delight.
        - The orchestral disc of Shenmue; a simply awesome slice of Japanese/Chinese music.
        - Daytona 2. Cheap and cheesy, yes, but whilst playing on a deluxe cabinet... fuuuuuuuuuuuuck. The first game OST I bothered to buy, incidentally.
        - Pretty much any Martin Galway composed music from the C64 Ocean games. Those were the theme tunes that you would load a game for, then turn the game off and load it again just to listen to the loading music.
        - Halo. The whole bloody thing. The drums play and millions of covanent bastards appear. Legend.

I'm sure there are more, but it's very hard to come up with a few that really stand out in a sea of classics.

The ZOE2 theme is called 'Beyond The Bounds'. It is fabulous, and can be downloaded from IGN here.

Maiden of Light and a few other songs from La Pucelle Tactics can be got from here in the talent section, at the bottom of the page.

I'd also recommend the opening theme, and both closing themes from the original ZOE. As well as the Terranigma opening, and most of the music from Chrono Trigger, Both of which can be found in midi format here.

I loved the music on the third stage of Konami's 'Vulcan Venture' (in fact that game had top music throughout).

Early Konami games always had top quality music. They may still have, but i don't play enough of them to know.

Aww? amen to that. *is listening to it now* Thats definitely up there as one of my favs

I also love the title music and Start menu music for Metroid Prime.

I adore all the music in Super Mario World, Mario 64 and several of the tunes in Sunshine. Also not forgetting the utterly unbelievably hummable Mario Bros classic tune.

Ocarina Of Time has an incredible selection of great tunes ? I cant remember the names I particularly like, but I listen to the album often. Obviously the main title music is second to none?

Wind Waker has some lovely tracks. My favorites being : Title, The Legendary Hero (un utterly masterful reworked track that) Mini Boss, Forest Haven, Medori?s Awakening, and Makore?s Prayer

I was surprised by the music in Beyond Good and Evil. The opening music and the battle music in particular stand out. Also the race tracks and even when ur in the pub.

PNO3 intro music was pretty cool too.

Oh and not forgetting Metal Gear Solid?s main theme
