And besides, when you go back to radio, you soon realise why everyone listens to personal mp3 players. Because DJs are twats who talk over songs, never give you ID3 tags, and your sort of music never gets played.

Hi Crispin,
many thanks for your reply and info a page back, its greatly appreciated.Basically you answered all my queries.I'am very new indeed to MP3 players and encoding in general.I have had some experience with WAV(not WMA)encoding in the past and call me an old fart but I always liked this form of encoding, admittably it takes up tons of space but the sound quality is far superior to MP3,I think its a nice extra alternaive to have. Some mags I have read recently have made no comment at all on whether or not the ipod was able to play WAV,hence my asking.
How does Apple lossless compare in quality terms to WAV and MP3,better or worse, how does it work?

The On Stage speakers are made with portability in mind. The Bose however aren't so on that merit the On Stage speakers are up a point or two. Then consider them being half the price + more and they are an impressive piece of kit. I actually physically have no space for the Bose speakers but the On Stage would fit just nicely on my desk.
Reviews on both speakers can be found on www.ipodlounge.com for clarification.
