wonderboy, Sorry for being a pest, what does the pspez.exe file 'do'

I'll play around with the Volume until I find the best setting that suits.

No problem plaver, here's runtime's quote on page 21 of this thread.

"PSPREZ is a small utility that will enable your Sony PSP to accept MP4 files encoded
      using 'non-standard' resolutions."

So, if you encoded your video in 360x208, you have to run psprez.exe on your mp4
video. So your PSP can play it. Otherwise it'll reject it as incompatible data...

Hope that helps and good luck..

The new version of 3GP converter (.29) is out. It support 368x208 now.

I thought I had it cracked with getting a widescreen file in a new resolution on my psp. Could someone post the ini they are using for widescreen files with a 1gb memory stick? Many thanks,

Has anyone used this Macintosh app? http://kaisakura.com/index2.html

If so, what were the results like? Does the app work well?
            Thanks.

I still can't really sus out PSPREZ, what I have done is set the volume settings to 360 and now it rocks, brill pic qty and now brill sound.

On version 29, if the two command lines (vol settings) were added from 28 in the transcoding file will they have the same effect on the volume in version 29.

                Hi plaver.

You don't need psprez.exe now. What with 3GP Converter, using
it's own 368x208 ini file to write the mp4. Also, yeah sure you can cut
and paste any lines you've used before in there. So, the -vol tag is fine,
                glad it's working for you...

Here's the 368x208 part of the transcoding.ini ,with the 2-pass put back
in. Plus -vol there. Adjust, where needed....

Thanks for the 2 Pass code, I'm just converting a Simpson episode.

When see how good the play back is, you will relise what a great little machine the PSP really is.

Do you know anywhere on the web yet where you play online games with PSP.

Glad your doing well. Yeah, definitely want to get some of my anime
dvd's on there. I haven't tried any wireless games, myself. I've no
wireless card/router. Have to look into that in the future. Did read up,
on some of the info on PSP WiFi, here....

David if you're having trouble try using RaPiZ PSP Video Condertor. It's really simple to use, and I've had 100% success with no effort. It also allows you to choose your resolution and boost the volume via simple radio buttons.

Thats very interesting, I also have RaPiZ PSP installed Version 2.3b.23, I've not had much success with it, when I try and convert a video file it goes through each pass and then does ''Making other works' and that's it. Do you have any idea what this is. Any help much appreciated.

                        All fixed.

Other program that I can use for DVD film conversion

I think that watching video highlights how bad the psp screen is. Its response time is awful. its a mild annoyance in RR but watching Frasier the other day it was pretty shocking.

You might have a problem with either your screen or the settings you are using to place the video footage on the PSP.

I have I-Robot full DVD film installed on mine and the picture qty/sound/screen response time is Excellent.

Thats 5.5Gb Ripped and compressed to 550Mb

I also have the Simpsons Season 5 episodes as well, as above prefect, yes I know it's a cartoon and displays a max 16 colours.

Maybe I should try two pass encoding. I dont seem to get any ghosting on the RR intro movie.

What ini lines will ad two pass encoding?

Also im Currently using 1500kb/s or the 7 hundred and something kb's. What are the QV ones like?

I have used Rapiz PS and 3GP converter with the source code supplied by 'wonderboy' I think the 3GP works better, give it a try.

I save my 3GP files to my hard drive and then use 'image convertor 2' at the highest settings, to transfer the file to the PSP. Works a treat.
