        Hey guys!

Has anyone installed the new firmware update?

Has there been any difference to video playback from the memory card? I have been using the lovely tips on this thread to fool the PSP into accepting higher resolution video such as 368x208 pixels.

Has anyone seen anything that would suggest that this firmware update plugs this hole?

I fear the Sony UMD movie department...

Aaaaaargh. What's going on? I thought I'd sussed all this. I'm using DVD Decrypter and the 3G thingy and am managing to make MP4 files using one of the ini files posted earlier BUT I keep ending up with good video matched to one of the commentary tracks. Why I am always getting the wrong audio track? How do I pick which audio track to rip?

            Any help appreciated

Sounds like you're ripping the wrong audio track in DVD Decrypter's Stream Processing list. Usually you'll want the first audio stream in the list - the video stream is normally at the top, followed by the correct audio stream.

                PSP Video Converter

                Hi guys,

I've been working on a GUI for ffmpeg since I started using 3GPP and found it was a pain to slightly alter settings, as they have to be edited in the .ini file. Therefore my plan was to create a bit of software that lets you line up a list of movies to convert, edit the settings for each file individually, then hit Encode!

It's taken a bit longer than I thought to get it working and to get a website online for it, but here it is, in case anyone is interested in using it:

                http://www.pspvid.co.uk

If you find any bugs (pretty likely!) or have any feature requests, please e-mail them to [email protected].

                Cheers,
                Rikki

iPSP is buggy as hell in the 2.x versions. Try PSPWare its much, much better and half the price!

Why won't 3GP let me convert quick time trailers for my psp?

                        It won't accept QT files.

Hey zenza. A lot of Quicktime trailers are protected. Even if you have
Quicktime Pro, you still can't export them. Not saying you can't convert
them though. Just a little trick in it. Like, for an example the SW:EPIII
trailer. I used Bink tools to export the video from the .mov . Then just
played the trailer, while recording the sound in windows. Then just import
the video and sound into VirtualDub...

                          Hope this helps..

Question : Did anyone here, update there Japanese PSP with new 1.5
firmware ? If so, does the .THM pics still display properly. I read somewhere
                            they didn't.
I wanted to check before updating...

                            Thanks..

                              Welcome back Wonderboy!

I posted a similar concern about the higer resoulution workaround, as to whether the update plugged our little loophole, but haven't heard anything concrete about it.

Anybody encountered any Video problems subsequent to installation?

I updated mine on Monday,I haven't tried any video file changes because I have only just installed 5 episodes of the Simspson, the video playback is better because of the additional features.

Wonderboy, forgive for asking what is .THM???
