what internet connection is everyone on?

i'm on homechoice 2mb dl/288k ul. been with them for around 4 years now i think, since they used to do 115k adsl

I've been with nextgentel, and we just got a free upgrade: (From 2MB) to 3000/500

I find this fast enough for most requirements. But still too slow upspeed for hosting.

Great serivce. (If you live in Norway)

They now have "Echo" which is up to 25MB/1.5MB

But I still find the far slower 3MB is OK. They have great latency too, so VoIP and Gaming are pretty OK.

Just a shame the uplink is slow bloody slow.

256kbps pipex adsl. could upgrade to 2mps, but i'm a cheapskate!

highly recommend pipex to all btw; been hooked up with them for a year without a single problem.

2meg with Eclipse, no cap or restrictions (yet). They offer a Flex system for lower speed users so they can increase the bandwidth temporarily should they need to for a few pence per hour.

256 is much more than enough, unless you want to host big games.

I don't think any ISPs offer anything over 256 (not much over anyway), unless you live in london atm...I think there's a technical reason why they can't, though I'm no expert.

Yeh, isn't that 'technical ' reason 'cos they're tight arses and don't want us all running servers off our machines...?

Was having this conversation with a m8 and we're convinced they could up the upload as it were, they just won't. I mean look at what some other ppl get in neighbouring countries....grrr....annoying!
