Does anyone know whether there are splitters for the HDMI plugs - seeing as both the 360 and PS3 will be supporting HDTV.

Rossco and manwiththepc im also waiting for my first loan installment to decided whether to finally buy the Samsung LCD. Its like all students think alike!

The 360 has no HDMI planned, supposedly because it uses an analogue scaler. Your limited to Component and VGA.

Right now, HDMI and DVI splitters cost hundreds, literally. Better waiting until they are more mainstream and they drop in price.

Oh good, so the 360 will use component? What about PS3? Any news on that?

Dual HDMI both supporting 1080p, supposedly.

Don't let Sony's number game fool you though.

dual as in there will be 2 seperate HDMI plugs? If thats correct, how many people are going to have 2 sockets (seeing as most HDTVs only have 1) spare on their TV?

The idea is to connect the console to 2 TV's for 2 screen play.

Sony may very well drop the dual HDMI idea though, because of costs. Even Sony know the idea of 2x1080p outputs is a bit of a pipe dream. It's a number game though, it sounds cool.
Just like how the average graphics card can do dual 2048x1536... has little real-world meaning.

Oh I see, although two screen play would look very nice, wont get used by many, like the 3 screen Forza mode, how many people actually have 3 copies of Forza, let alone 3 xboxes and 3 TVs!

If that's in regards to the loan, then you wait 5 days from registration at your Uni (assuming all the other paper work has been sorted)

                          Damnit,

My order with Dabs.com for the 26" Greenwhich Samsung has gone from displaying "expected stock in 3-4 days" to just "0 in stock"...so it looks like Dabs are now not even expecting to take stock of this item.

                          FFS.

Good job I don't REALLY need it untill December 2nd then .

Anyone else awaiting stock from Dabs?

whats the difference between the Rome & Greenwich model?

Think the Greenwich ones normally have freeview built in.
