That is the screen me and Concept have (Concept has the 26" version though). We've raved enough about how brill it is.

Bangs head against the wall.
Response time is 8ms.
Read above and over the last page or so for impressions of the 26", which in terms of feature set is more or less the same as the 32" version.
Also, check prices online for the best deal at a price comparison site before you order from Sony directly. Here:

The question is - is that Sony 32-s2030 better than the newer Toshiba wlt68 @ ?899 which also highly regarded in this forum. I think the Toshiba makes more sense the Sonyv2000 would be more on par maybe slightly better but it only has 1 hdmi.
Anyway I'm looking for cost effective set & the Toshiba 32-wlt66 seems like its the best bang for the buck @ ?610.
Does anyone own this set on this forum? if yes could you please post some pics of some HD gaming & SD gaming - maybe some Gears, metroid or Twilight Princess.
Thanks in advance..

The S2030 is the best LCD I've seen in it's price bracket, although I've not seen a WL68 yet.

Thank you Jake and Concept for your Bravia S2030 impressions. It was already my number one choice but your positive comments on here have motivated me that little bit extra to stop this umming and ahhing over LCDs and just buy the damn thing! One question though, which is correct?

Cheers Concept, it's good to know that my set's not as bad as I thought it might have been

Not sure what the quality of the scaling is like but Gefen have a pretty good rep.

thanks for your posts
Really, they're both the best screens in the range, your going to get a stunning screen either way. The S2030 has probably the best VGA support on the market, whereas the WLT68 has 2x HDMI. Go which which you value more.
In my case, 1360x768 over VGA was a *requirement* so it was a no-brainer.

Just a quick question, mainly for the 1080 owners, but anyone feel free to chip in.
I'm almost certainly going to order a Sony 40W2000 tomorrow. I demoed the TV yesterday and was blown away by the picture quality when it was fed a HD source. At the time, probably because i was so in awe of the HD picture i didn't really check out the TV when it was showing SD content.
Will there be any issues using a 1080 screen with SD stuff like standard Sky? I will probably be using HD/SD 50/50 so i really have to take into account how the TV handles SD. What sort of viewing distance would be needed for SD? I will probably be about 9-10 feet away from the screen.Last edited by PH; 03-12-2006, 17:53.

I'm also really impressed with how well it copes with composite even, the Wii is far from unplayable as some people have said.
(note: those vertical lines over the image are moir? caused by my camera not being focussed correectly)
