Sooooo, what improvements are there we can look forward to?

btw, anyone seen any 42" G20s going anywhere?

Better calibration controls, and the short stroke phosphor (for less green/yellow trailing) is even used on the 2D models now.

And maybe other improvements, which I'll know about once they deliver a review sample.

I'm well chuffed with mine. My only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner

I was hoping it'd been cheaper considering the 50" prices.

Still cant believe panny arent making anymore 37" plasmas. I appreciate it was a niche size but it was perfect for my bedroom

Currys have it for £549 but it's highly likely to be ex display models.

Any reccomendations for any nice TVs, just want it to perform well for games really.

Looking at a samsung c580 at the mo, seems to fulfill the criteria. Anything else that performs as well but with more features?

Just as well nobody responded, saved me some cash. Found one of the remaining c580s from richersounds and had a play last night.
Liking what I see so far, especially the video streaming and the formats it supports (more than 360!)

Cool. It's hard to find a better TV for the same money, really.

waiting for a bonus to come through before I buy anything - Chevy Chase style.

The Panasonic 2011 range is due out soon...

Can't wait to see what they've done with the faster phosphor. If they've gotten input lag properly sorted it may be time to finally take the plasma plunge...

                              Hey guys.

I got an old-ish cheap-ish CRT out of storage so my SNES doesn't look all like blurry-town, and from the moment I switched it on I remembered something. CRTs will make your ears bleed. Is there any way to fix the high-pitched screeching noise or am I just going to have to decide on a way to make it look nice (and play without too much lag) on an LCD?

I am no expert, but I had a CRT, new at the time, which started emitting that high-pitched sound. An engineer came round to fix it and he said not all people can hear that sound. He fixed it by insulating a circuit board in the tv. The noise did stop but at times I would hear a faint trace of it.
