Nope, they operate a no telephone call policy thingy!
This is a littlemore clear now actually:
This is a Buy Now Pay Later loan agreement. With the exception of a 10 % deposit, you can purchase and enjoy the benefits of any eligible product or combination of products from our portfolio NOW (your total order value must be above ?400.00 to be eligible), then make no further payments for 9 whole months. Provided you pay the final balance in full before the 9 month BNPL period expires, you will pay no interest!
However, should you choose not to settle the outstanding balance in full before the 9 month BNPL period expires, you can simply continue to make your loan repayments on a monthly basis at the interest rate shown on your loan agreement.
The example below is based on the cost of the products you currently have in your shopping basket, should you choose to purchase them today.
Cash price (inc standard delivery charge) ?645.99
Deposit ?64.99 (10%)
Service Fee ?25.00
Amount of credit ?581.00
APR 29.8% monthly instalments 39 (?25.43)
Total payable ?1,081.76
Buy Now Pay Later Date 27 July 2006
NOTE:This is an interest bearing loan and should you choose not to settle within the 9 month BNPL period, then you will incur interest charges as laid out in the above example. However, if the Amount of Credit of ?581.00 is paid in full on or before 27 July 2006 then you will pay no interest.
This type of loan attracts interest which is calculated daily and debited monthly in arrears on each monthly instalment date. In calculating the APR, no account has been taken of any variation which may occur in the Interest Rate.
Written terms available on request
See www.dabs.com/finance for more information. dabs.com online finance is for private consumer customers only.

Thats definitely okay then, the part "NOTE:This is an interest bearing loan and should you choose not to settle within the 9 month BNPL period, then you will incur interest charges as laid out in the above example. However, if the Amount of Credit of ?581.00 is paid in full on or before 27 July 2006 then you will pay no interest."
Makes it clear that you just pay that remaining ?581.00 after 9 months.
Ironically, when browsing that site, the price was ?605.99 15 minutes ago, and now its ?645.99. If only I ordered then!!
EDIT: Would you agree with me on that then yeh? I just want another back up to confirm thats what it says and I'm not just being stupid!Last edited by Rossco; 27-10-2005, 14:11.

My set has been away for a week now (2nd time away) and I called up this morning to ask about it, and was told I'd get a call back about it in a "couple of minutes." Just noticed that it's 17:00 now, and still no call.

Yet another new firmware update for the Oppo, if anyone is interested. Fixes the 2:2 Cadence, which was only partially working in the last release... should results in PAL DVD's looking better.
Also contains all the new features of the abandoned 17th October release such as DRM/VOD support for DivX, DivX ratio fix, noise reduction and more.

Also, stumbled across this player today http://www.neodigits.com/body/product/HVD2085/specs.asp Interesting because it offers 1080p (yes, progressive) upscaling.... through Component!
That said, it's had some pretty critical reviews, most still favouring the Oppo's DVI-based 720p/1080i upscaling.
That said, anyone looking for a Component-based upscaling option might want to look into it.Last edited by sj33; 27-10-2005, 20:30.

Anyone able to clear this dabs.com thing up for me so I know for sure no?
if not, I'll just have to buy and hope thats the case, if not then your all taking the blame!
When I get it I'll need all the necessary cables etc and I'm clueless about that right now.
Does this switch box thingy work well:
Is that a good one to get as I'll need to connect Xbox and PS2 through component and regarding that, does this do for a PAL PS2, cant find an official one anywhere:
And for my Xbox, its PAL and chipped so am I right in saying I can use this:
And then this for my US Cube:
If thats all good stuff can you tell me or let me know of anything better if you can please! Good lads!

That switcher is lovely, I use it myself.
I'm always saying getting anything but official leads is a false economy, but it may work out fine... for the price, worth the risk.
With your chipped PAL XBox, you will need to download a program called Enigmah VideoSwitcher to patch your machine to NTSC - this will unlock all the HD and Progressive modes. Let me tell you, you play Soul Calibur 2 in 720p and you'll become one of us obsessive HD freaks for life.

Need to pay for it now though, I dont wanna do that!
I hope I get this next week!
I now need a unit to house this and all my consoles etc. Would like a swish glass one but probably too expensive so I'm gonna have to go for some kind of Ikea-ish beech unit type thing. Theres a popular one that many people have but its like 140cm wide and I need 120cm or less I think, any ideas or websites that have decent looking units?
