It only has a component input, so whilst it will be fine for the 360 (depending on the quality of the panel) it isn't hd-ready.

It would need either a hdmi-hdcp or dvi-hdcp input for it to be hd-ready.

If the PS3 has a Component or VGA output, it may be fine for that... wish we knew more about the PS3 in that sense.

So far everything has been stunning, well impressed. Tried out PS2, Gamecube, Saturn via RGB, all looking nice, then tried Xbox via VGA (using the X2VGA+ cable) it looks really nice in 480p, but theres some strange vertical bands that you can see on certain colours. Ordered some Xbox componant cables so that should sort that out (i blame the dodgy chinese VGA thing). Then hopefully next week, get the X360 hooked up via componant. Also ordered the Dreamcast VGA lead, so can't wait to see what Shenmue looks like through that!

Its the Toshiba 32WLT58 - definatly recommend, if only for its immense connectivity options. (2X HDMI, 2XRGB Scart, 1x Scart, 1x VGA, 1x Componant, S video, composite etc etc.)

oh yeah: and it looks TEH SEX.

Maybe, maybe not... the X2VGA is just a Component-to-VGA transcoder though... it *is* Component, essentially... just transcoded into VGA.
Same with the VD-Z3 I use.

Interesting... will report back when I've got the proper componant cables to say whether there is a difference or not.

I seem to remember a review mentioning that it wasn't HD ready as it didn't have component inputs. Although it was fixed by having to use an adapter through the VGA port, so you are one less connection down for your money

The vertical lines *are* a result of the VGA cable - but can be fixed, there is a setting for Sampling Clock and Clock Phase, which can be tweaked to get rid of this. So it's all good

A mate of mine bought one of these about a year ago and absolutely loves it.

?365 quid for a 26" HDTV, absolutely no reason for anyone to not go HD now....
Right, that TV is about ?300 cheaper than all the rest!

                  What's the catch?

                    For the 4th time!

It has a 25ms response time so it will be blurry as heck, also its not HD ready so it may not be compatible with future devices

Except that it's no blurrier than my 14ms Aquos or 8ms LG to my eyes at least and it is HD Ready.

It will be when it comes to fast motion and dark/light colours. It doesn't have an HDMI input, so it isn't HDready.

It says there's a DVI port. Maybe it is HD ready afterall. Either way, can't see quality being anywhere near the 'proper' offerings from Sony, sharp, Panny, Sammy etc., you get what you pay for.

I read a review and it says it supports HDCP through the DVI socket, so its not far off. But the review did say that there was smearing and motion blurring. I think it was home cinema choice, gave it 3 out of 5
