Doesn't seem to be a big difference from the specs. I think someone on here has the GA6E.

Can you send me this aswell, I'll PM you.

Does it not open the possibility of sticking more pixels?

Apologies if that is crushingly n00bish question :P

I think any damage done is at the factory. If a pixel is dodgy then it'll reveal itself sooner or later. There's nothing you can display that will damage a normal pixel.

What's the diff between the other two then? I can't see any?
The LC-26P50E has no VGA socket.

I have the LC-26GA6E it has VGA, and im very pleased with it so far. I cant wait to try out my 360 on it this Friday.

The 26P50E isnt HD ready as it doesnt have the resolution but as far as I am aware will accept 720p and 1080i via component and HDMI.

The GA6E is HD ready and has a VGA socket as well.

Themanwithapc has one and he raves about his so you would probably be better off spending the extra for the GA6.

It's liveable. I'll try and download the PSP fixer later and see if it'll run on larger LCDs.
you can just drag it ontop of the affected area, it doesn't have to be fullscreen

More dead pixels have appeared (2 along the one near the centre) and a bit of dust is caught under the screen to the right.

Not impressed. Think I'll have to ring Samsung tomorrow and find out what my options are.

Think I'm finally going to make a descision and bang an order in tomorrow for the new Samsung LE40M61BX LCD Managed to get it for ?1715.00 from my main IT supplier which is a bit of a steal, as the best price from most main stream retailers is ?2000-?2200. Unfortunately not going to be with me for the 360 launch, but I'll have it before crimbo, so two weeks of solid HD goodness to look forward to !

If anyone's got a good reason for me not to get it let me know, so I can save the cash lol !

Hope no dead pixels turn up on this thing, could accumulate quite alot on a 40" I would guess Think you are well within your rights to sling the TV back to play tbh concept, I think Samsung allow 2 dead pixels before they allow a replacements.

I've run two - though I wouldn't blame it on that alone. As Wush said - it's a fault at manufacturing level that would have happened sooner or later anyhow.

I'm dreading the cost of sending this back to Play if I have to. If the pixels and dust weren't near the centre of the screen, or red, it wouldn't be bothering me.

I was reading Samsung have a zero no dead pixel policy, but that was back at the beginning of 2005 and probably only in Korea. The manual seems to mention that it's perfectly fine and acceptable for dead pixels to appear in the troubleshooting section.

Sorry, no. I lived with them on the PSP, but after paying over ?600, I don't want dead pixels near the middle of the screen thanks.
