Not too sure about that, everything about it looks good but havent heard anything about it really.

I have an LG but its the 26LX2R which is a different range to that one... Might wanna wait and see if anyone else has opinions on that one.

Rossco, have you tried the XD thingy on the LG on a SD source?

Good luck with that. Andrewfee had a small problem with his Sammy screen, and it ended up worse after it came back, then it was in the first place. I'm sure someone else also had a problem, and had hassle with Samsung's support. Try play.com under the 7 day (14?) return, and try to get it off someone located in the UK, at least you don't have to pay extortionate shipping rates.....

What have you tried the XD Engine on? Only asking cos I read this:

                  and this:

                  Or shouldnt I trust T3?

I've decided - I'll live with it. The noticeable one is to the far lower/left of the screen's middle, and it's only really a bug bear on white backgrounds (such as now typing out this message for example).

It's the shipping rates in returning it to Play that have me worried (it'll be ?100+ by Special Delivery, which is what they request on their website). Plus, I feel I'm jinxed at the moment. Every small thing over the past month has gone wrong... from ordering Broadband again, to other personal stuff...

                    I need to get perspective.

A part of me thinks I'm being uber-geeky and overly fussy. Another side of me however thinks if I pay ?600 for a television, I should expect it to be in immaculate condition, and if not, be returnable.

I think you can guess which side of me won out in this little contest...

Apart from the dead pixels issue (the other two are right at the edge), it's a lovely screen. With things moving, and non-white backgrounds none of this is noticeable, but every time I switch on my PC... that's a different story.

I feel as though I shouldn't be complaining over something so trivial... and I'm sure when I'm using the television more for gaming I'll be able to forget about it.

Just put Resi 4 on there to make sure I wasnt talking crap and the difference in minimal. All it does really is increase the contrast between dark and light colours to create a more varied palette of colour as such, so its a tad less bland and linear.

Its not what they make it out to be. Ask PeteJ too his opinions on it but I'm sure he'll say the same as me.

Were you using a component lead or RGB?

                          Official Component Cable!!! What else!?

I already think RE4 looks stunning on this set anyway, I'll try it out with some more dodgy looking games and see and let you know the differences but I've always got it turned on anyway.

I think it makes a difference when your using a RGB source and not component, as T3 say that it enhances standard video signals.
                            Although I may be wrong

Well I've not got anything connected through rubbishy cables like that! Apart from my normal TV signal which again, doesnt really make a difference to be honest.
